⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Exquisite Fusion: A Five-Star Dining Experience. Okus in Medellín is a culinary masterpiece that seamlessly blends the vibrant flavors of Peru, and Colombia with the refined elegance of Japan. From the moment you step through the stunning entrance, you're transported to a world of exquisite taste and captivating ambiance. The staff's impeccable service elevates the dining experience to new heights. Their friendly attentive and knowledgeable approach ensures that every guest feels pampered and well-cared-for. The Japanese-inspired décor, with its serene and minimalist aesthetic, and a water pond with fishes creates a truly immersive atmosphere. The principal plates are a symphony of flavors, each dish a testament to the chef's culinary artistry. The fusion of Colombian, Peruvian and Japanese ingredients results in a unique and unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or a lover of Peruvian or Colombian cuisine, you're sure to find something to delight your palate. The dessert menu is equally impressive, offering a delectable array of sweet treats. Each dessert serve was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation, satisfying even the most discerning sweet tooth, howeverI wantto emphasize the unique and irrepetible yellow bell pepper ice-cream dessert (Okus Chef Irvin Trademark). To top off the evening, the captivating Japanese dance show is a mesmerizing spectacle. The graceful movements of the dancers, combined with the rhythmic music, create a truly enchanting experience. Again, Okus restaurant is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination. It's a place where you can indulge your senses, savor exquisite cuisine, and immerse yourself in a world of culture and elegance. We have an absolutely outstanding dining experience at this Colombian-Peruvian-Japanese restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was perfect – a cozy blend of modern and traditional decor that immediately set the stage for an unforgettable meal. The fusion of flavors was spot-on, showcasing the best of both Peruvian and Japanese cuisines in every dish. The entrance plates were excellent, perfect balanced flavors. The sushi rolls were fresh and imaginative, with unique ingredients that worked together perfectly. The ceviche was among the best I’ve ever had, balancing citrus and spice with incredibly fresh seafood. I want to put especial emphasis on the staff was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu and recommending some amazing options. Everybody deserves a high five kudos, unfortunately I don'tremember the names, but especial kudos to Mrs. Geraldine, Chef Irvin, and Manager Alexis Familia. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of complex flavors that were both surprising and satisfying. It’s rare to find such a seamless fusion of two distinct cuisines, but this place pulls it off with elegance and flair. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable dining experience in Medellín. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED....will definitely be returning!

During our first night in Medellin we had dinner at Restaurant Okus. We were casually looking for something in the vicinity of our hotel and stumbled upon this place. We reserved a table and went 30 minutes later. While the reservation didn't register correctly a table was available and we're welcomed by the friendly staff. This was the first time we went to such a restaurant with out two daughters of 9 and 11 years old. Our table was taken care of by Emanuel and his colleagues. He briefly explained the background of the restaurant and explained some of the great dishes we were going to enjoy. We go to nice restaurants from time to time, but this was one of the best culinary experiences so far. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. All drinks, even those for the kids, were made and presented to be special. We definitely recommend going to Restaurant Okus. Hopefully you too are guided through this culinary treat by Emanuel or any of his colleagues.

This place was by far the biggest dissappintment for me from all the "fancy" restaurant I been to in Medellin. First I ordered colliflower that had about 3 line description of its ingredients. When I tried it, it was just unsalted colliflower with butter, nothing else. No taste. At least they were nice enough not to charge me. Second was shrimp in squid ink batter - and that was all. Just plain batter with some sriracha mayo. But the worste was yet to come. I was recommended seafood rice. In reality it was a lobster bisque/ soup with lots of overcooked rice, some shrimps and rubbery calamari and for unknown reasons, they put in peas and avocado. The avocado was just terrible. Sonthe best part was my mango juice. For the apetiser shrimp, rice soup and mango juice I paid 150 000COP/ around 38 euro.

I was looking forward to this place all week. Unfortunately, It was a disappointment. My reservation was at 8PM we arrived on time no issues at all. Our waiter was very professional in the beginning. Told us the specials and recommendations. If you love sangria, this is place has an excellent one. We actually ordered two bottles of it. That's how good it was. Unfortunately, the bad part. All our food came cold. We order the octopus which we both were very much looking forward too. Wasn't cooked right at all. We sat there enjoying each other company and our waiter was no where to found. There was a birthday celebration next to us, at least 15 people ordering bottles and food. The place was full by 9PM. We then ordered dinner. I ordered the rib and edamame, my girl ordered the chorizo. It all came cold. She barley ate it. I ate more than half of mine. I was starving. When the waiter finally came over. We addressed the issue and of course he did nothing. We didn't order dessert, by than we were turned off by the whole experience. I was thunder storming that night and of course the roof had a leak and water came down on our table. We spoke to another waitress to be moved. She complied immediately. Our waiter came back to tell us his shift was over and didn't ask if we needed anything else. Our new waitress came by and asked if we wanted the bill. I replied NO, Thank you! we're still enjoying our sangria and our company. She didn't ask if we wanted something else. Our 45min later, I asked for the bill. Waited about 10min and nothing. I asked a different waitress for our bill and waited some more. Apparently, they have to go to the other side of the room to retrieve the bill. Finally, after waiting for 32min I got up to find my waitress and asked directly for my bill that we would like to leave. She apologized and that we had paid already. The balls on her to ask for a tip. I declined. I said absolutely not, considering everything that had happened this evening. I don't think I'll ever return, if I do it's for the sangria and maybe and appetizer. THAT'S IT!! Also, this place is over priced. Not worth the money, my bill was ridiculous for the service that was provided. The waiters act like it a fast food joint. You'll see what i'm talking about. For some fine dinning at those prices you should expect excellent service. That place doesn't have it....
