I had a couple beers, Ceviche and 2 orders each of Tuna & Salmon Nigiri Sushi. Beer was cold, Ceviche was good, even to Ecuadorian standards. Tuna Sushi was real good, Salmon was a Day Old or had been left out too long during the day and had gotten that FISHY STINKY SMELL to it. Not so horrible that I spit out the first bite, but after the second bite I called over a waiter and told him. He goes into all of our food is 1st Quality . . . I agreed with him and said it had been a really good meal but that the Salmon smelled bad. Next the Manager comes over, has a real aggressive stance and goes into the same thing. I tell him I don't doubt that they use the best ingredients but sometimes things happen and that I'd really enjoyed their place and just wanted him to replace the SMELLY Salmon with Tuna. He takes the plate away, I'm thinking OK . . . He comes back in 5 minutes and says the Chef told him it was fine and they won't do anything about it, doesn't even bring back the 3 of 4 untouched Salmon Nigiri. I tell him to just bring my check which ended up being 104,000 COL Pesos of which the Salmon was only 17,000..
I give the Waiter a 20K not and leave 100K ($35USD) for the meal
Bottom line is the manager decided to piss off a new customer over $5 which to replace it with some Tuna that would have cost him $1-2 I decided to post onto social media...
Read moreMostly Peruvian-asian inspired fusion. The food is good, or at least it will please the crowd. Don't expect anything subtle though, and generally a bit too sweet for my taste. For locals, this is a place to be seen. It's priced accordingly, but nothing excessive. The two of us spent 80 USD for a three course dinner including drinks and tip. The decor is nice but not overwhelming. Visually there are better places in El Poblado. The restaurant seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday night. The staff was very friendly and helpful though, and they were working hard. What we found annoying was the live music, which started at 8 pm, blaring over the loudspeakers. What's the use of going to a nice restaurant where you can only make yourself heard by shouting...
Read moreHealth warning! On July 27th they didn’t have running water but were still open. Assuming the chef was unable to wash his hands or things were not sanitized as my friend and I met there for lunch and both got food poisoning. We had nothing else in common that day other than sushi there. The next day I told him I was sick, and he replied saying he was sick as well. Very disappointing as all the other restaurants in Medellin have been phenomenal. Service was lacking as well. I asked for a second bottle of water which was never received. Food was lacking quality, we didn’t finish the apps or the sushi (thankfully). I said I’d never go back and that was...
