From the moment I walked in, this restaurant left a lasting impression. The design was clearly intentional—every detail, from the grand castle-like doors to the lush tropical plants throughout the space, felt thoughtfully curated. The lighting created a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the blend of natural elements—wicker, stone, and handcrafted tiles—set a tone that was both elegant and relaxed.
A live DJ played in the background, subtly tucked into the environment. The music was energetic enough to keep the vibe lively but never overpowering—just the right soundtrack for good conversation, flowing drinks, and a steady rhythm of plates arriving at the table.
The food? Incredible.
We started with the shrimp bao, which blew me away. The combination of the rich caruba sauce, crisp apple, and pillowy steamed bun hit all the right notes—sweet, savory, and fresh. Each bite was a layered experience that woke up the senses. The plating was just as thoughtful as the flavors, making the dish as visually satisfying as it was delicious.
For our main courses—our Segundo Relato—we ordered the coconut fish and the langostino fettuccine.
The fish arrived wrapped in a banana leaf, with hot water poured underneath to create a gentle steam—a beautiful and practical presentation that kept the dish warm. It was paired with a creamy coconut-mango sauce and a coconut-miso blend on the side, both of which added richness without overwhelming the natural flavors of the fish.
The langostino fettuccine was another standout. The pasta was perfectly cooked—something I’ve found surprisingly rare, even at Italian restaurants in Colombia. The prawns were tender and flavorful, while the mushrooms brought depth and balance. Topped with crispy leeks, the dish had layers of flavor and texture that elevated it well beyond a typical seafood pasta.
We didn’t make it to dessert—I was happily full—but Relato made such an impression that it will stay with me for a long time. If you have the chance, I absolutely recommend experiencing it for yourself. You...
Read moreOur experience was definitely 5 stars, we didn't make a reservation and luckily there was an available table, the restaurant was packed. The hostess was really welcoming, the waiters were very professional, and explained the concept of Relato and food sharing to have a more enjoyable experience. We started with the Zacapa Mojito it's was a dream we had 2 rounds and probably could have gone for a third. We ordered the Arancinis Relato they are rice croquettes filled with cheese and they were delicious, the Wabiche Ceviche was so delicate & balanced. For our Second Relato (main course) we ordered the Lomo Enyucado the meat was so tender & juice the yuca square croquette was out of this world. Now the Coconut Fish was the STAR of this amazing experience, the fish is cooked on a plantain leaf, the flsh melts in your mouth the coconut cream is so delicate and well balance, now the coconut rice is out of this world. I ask the waiter what type of fish they use and was told TILAPIA and thats when I knew we had hit a home run with this restaurant. We recommend this restaurant all the way, I suggest you do make a reservation it opens every day at 12:00PM Thank you to the entire staff for making this a unforgettable experience! Looking forward to...
Read moreI think people going here should know that the whole menu is design with a sweet flavor in mind. What it means is that everything will be sweet and overly complex. You can see there is some technique in the cooking but it want to do too much.
The flavors were not my favorite and the entire table agreed. When looking at the menu ahead, nothing indicated such a sweet cooking style. Meanwhile, the first thing our waiter told us is that everything will have a sweet flavor, it was absolutely true. I would have expected the website to mention this as I would have made another choice for my brunch. Instead of highlighting the product, plates were overloaded with a sweet sauce that for me ruined everything. Delicious Gyoza, covered with a mango sauce? Not for me. Delicious Salmon on very well executed Risotto, add a ton of sweet sauce on top? Why?
Service was also hectic as it took 10 minutes to get some water. The waiter was great and helpful he gave us his phone to help to look at the menu, but I could tell he did not have the support required to execute to the level this restaurant claim to be.
Have some physical menu, I don't want to use a QR code on a website that work half the time because you are too lazy...
