Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The food we had was no more than average (taste wise) and served luke warm. The sides were extremely small and again not really warm. However, the main reason for this two star review is based on the last 15 minutes at the restaurant. At first they didn't want to let us split the bill, for good reason as we later discovered. After offering to calculate the meals ourself, we were finally able to convince the server. After two out of 5 have already paid their meals according to what we saw on the bill, we realized that the residual was way to high for the remaining 3 of us. After pointing out things on our bill that we didn't order nor receive, the waiter responded surprisingly quickly and said that the bill is incorrect. Without ever actually telling him what shouldn't be on the bill, we all of a sudden received a new bill without the extra items. Yet, only to find out that the prices were not in accordance with the prices from the menu they gave us. After another couple of minutes discussing and getting the manager in, we finally received a new corrected bill, which luckily ended up being in accordance with our order and the menu. So save yourself the nerves and energy and DO...
Read moreRestaurant has no core Identity. It's an argentinian meat place with japanese and Peruvian food. It sells different options so they can cater to all types of clientele that comes in.
FOOD: Some of the dishes are a local interpretation and not the original recipe. For example: the causa was just a potato salad, not the real thing. Ramen was salty as hell and no chopsticks we're give to eat it. burger looked good but with a overdose of cheddar cheese.
PRICES: HIGH for what it's being offered. plates are small and nothing out of the ordinary to pay such prices (similar or better options can be found in restaurants in front of the street at similar or slightly lower prices)
SERVICE: by trying to be helpful, they end up being too in four face coming every 5 minutes to ask if you're ready to order and suggesting the pricier plates. Also I DIDNT LIKE the waiter almost force us into leaving a review in tripadvisor. He shared the qr code to give the review but he's on top of you pressuring into leaving a good review (that's how they end up being suggested in the too restaurants in the zone... when, they're not that great)
In general I would agree with Other reviews of the place mentioning that the place is overrated and not...
Read moreMediocre service to say the least. A sign of a good restaurant is attention to detail and they can do the basics rights, La Pampa can not do either of these. We asked for a portion of bread as my daughters liked it and wanted more, it took them 35min to bring it, and be the time it arrived both were asleep, their offer to make this up, “we won’t charge you for the bread”. Then they brought the food, and since one of my daughters woke up, she eat 1/2 of her meal, the other 1/2 we asked them to wrapped it up to go. 30min later when we were ready to leave we asked for our to-go box, their answer, “sorry we discarded your to-go food, are too busy”. This 2 examples clearly show the incompetence at this place. If they are not able to bring an order or bread in less than 35min, or wrap leftovers when you ask for this, I’m afraid of how they run their kitchen. There are plenty of better quality and more reasonable priced restaurants in the area. My suggestion stay clear...
