Title: Wonderful Pizza and Beach Ambience, but Unpleasant Experience with Unwanted Massage

Review: I recently visited this restaurant during my vacation and had a mixed experience. Let me start with the positives. The pizza served here was truly excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The ambiance, right by the beach with a breathtaking view, was simply beautiful. To top it off, we even had the pleasure of spotting sloths and monkeys hanging from the trees directly above us. It was quite a remarkable sight.

The service provided by the staff was top-notch as well. They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to point out the presence of the wildlife above us, which added to the overall charm of the place. Their attentiveness to detail was commendable. At the negative it took the kitchen almost an hour to make the pizza.

However, I regret to say that there was an unfortunate incident that marred our dining experience. While we were patiently waiting for our food, two massage therapists approached our table and started to provide unsolicited massages. Despite our attempts to decline their services, they persisted and managed to convince us to accept their offer. This made us feel uncomfortable and violated. Moreover, we ended up paying a significant amount for just a few minutes of massage, which left us feeling disappointed and overcharged.

It is disappointing that the restaurant did not take measures to prevent such incidents and protect their guests from unwanted encounters. While the overall experience was pleasant, this particular incident overshadowed the positive aspects. I would have expected better awareness and control from the restaurant's management to ensure that their guests are not subjected to such uncomfortable situations.

I hope that this feedback is taken constructively, as it aims to highlight an issue that needs attention. With improvements in this area, the restaurant has the potential to provide an even better dining experience for...

We came here on two occasions while in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. The first was we were just walking by and decided to try it. It was raining but we sat out back near the beach under a private palapa. My kids thought it was super fun and for us, it really was a nice experience. The food was incredible. The pasta is all made in house and the Lobster Ravioli was unbelievably good, especially considering how inexpensive it is. The service was impeccable, like most of the town, everyone is just so nice and welcoming. It was a great experience. So much so that we decided to go pick up a pizza the night before we left town. I was sitting at the bar waiting for my pizza when the Bartender handed me a Papaya Margarita, all "on the house" while I waited. The drink was incredible. I asked for two of these to-go. Next thing I knew, he was jumping on a bike and left the bar, in the rain! I asked the server what was going on and he told me that the bartender, Ronnie, had left to go the supermercado to get me some plastic to-go cups. I couldn't believe that level of kindness and customer service. I will definitely be coming back here when I visit...

The restaurant looked nice and it has tables on the beach. It was quite empty in the restaurant and it took a long long time for anyone to ask us what we wanted to drink or eat. No water was offered or brought to our table. The food and drink is horribly over-priced especially since the quality is not balanced with the price. The pasta is supposedly homemade but the pene i had with the vegetable curry was hard packet pasta. The vegetable curry itself was bland, far from being worth $33 Australian dollars (including service fee; for non existent service). The pizza was $40 Australian dollars and although better than frozen pizza it was a big let down versus the price. We also ordered bruschetta ($22) which never turned up (thankfully) and we had to have it removed from the bill. Upon paying the cashier asked if everything was good, but she didn't follow up on my glum face and "it was ok" response. I guess i should have been more direct! In summary, you could probably go anywhere else in the 10km radius of the puerto viejo and beaches area and get better food and much better value for...

Very large Italian/pizzeria located on the beach. We were seated literally just feet from the waves and water. Amazing views, although it was dark. They have many lights for seeing inside the dining area. The calming sound of the crashing waves, make for a wonderful dinner experience. The wait staff are very friendly and offer assistance both in Spanish and English for those that struggle with their language. Everyone on their staff went out of their way to help us decide on our menu choices. The food was very tasty and added a unique option for ravioli. Most of us ordered the tropical ravioli in a butter/curry sauce with shrimp pineapple and avocado. This was such a good dish! Drinks were made very fancy with great decorative touches. The food came to the table quickly. Soon after we were eating, we heard a commotion from other guests that were pointing above us. About 10 feet directly above us was a sloth 🦥. He began to move and we all were able to see it moving up the tree. This was an amazing experience! I highly recommend this restaurant for everything! Just an awesome evening!

We arrived rather early for the dinner crowd - around 6:30 - and there were only 2 other tables occupied outside. We ordered drinks - a beer, coffee and lemonade - which came in a reasonable amount of time. The lemonade was frozen, which was a nice touch in the warm night. For dinner my husband ordered the fajita chicken, I ordered Caribbean Shrimp (curried coconut sauce), and my daughter a pizza with jamon Serrano. My husband’s meal came in about 15 minutes. Assuming ours were coming right out, he began eating. He was halfway done before mine came, and we were both done before my daughter’s pizza came. She had to sit there and watch us eat, and as she didn’t like our meals, worked up quite an appetite. We never got the water we requested, and we ended up getting the pizza to go. They did apologize, and took our drinks off the bill, but that was too little to late. Food was pretty good but pricey, and the service made it much less enjoyable.

This restaurant offers an absolutely impeccable ambiance—dining with your feet in the sand under the stars is a truly special experience. The atmosphere is both relaxed and charming, making it the perfect spot for a memorable meal. The food is outstanding, with Italian-quality pizza that rivals anything you’d find in Italy. Every dish we’ve tried has been delicious, fresh, and made with care. The prices are very reasonable for the quality, making it an incredible value. The staff is warm, friendly, and attentive, ensuring a great dining experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for a perfect combination of great food, stunning setting, and excellent service, this is the place to be!
