Truly wonderful Spanish style food with local ingredients and very unique and beautiful presentations. The fresh snook(local fish) with gorgeous shredded salad was outstanding; the Galician style octopus was just delicious, and as a starter the zucchini carpaccio was both lovely to behold and mouth-watering to eat. Finishing it off was a spicy dense chocolate torte with dabs of amazing star fruit/bitter orange marmalade surrounding it. The service was lovely, the Spanish wines were quite nice and atmosphere charming. This is a gem of a restaurant that should delight true foodies and please everyone else. A total winner a few kilometers south of Puerto Viejo. Do not miss...
Read moreWow. We ate here on the last night of our stay in Puerto Viejo and the food was truly mind blowing. We were looking for a place that was open past 8pm for dinner and noticed this was close to our Airbnb. We ordered the mussels for appetizer and each ordered the fish special of the day (one swordfish and one snook) and we savored every bite until our plates were clean. The owner recommended an incredible wine to pair with our meals and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Also ordered the chocolate torte for dessert which came with a marmalade made from local star fruit, mango, and soursop. chefs kiss Would 10000% come back....

Atmosphere in this place is very relaxed, we ordered Sangria to drink - normally we won't do that. BUT it's worth a try... fresh made with an quality redwine, very tasty and not sweet. The Paella was excellent, too. Lots of seafood in, and with a very nice crusty part.
For Dessert we shared a Crema Catalana, which was very good like all of the things we get.
I would recommend this place absolutely and visit a second time, if our route comes across Puerto...
