The pizza here is really good! It's similar to thin crust pizza in the United States. We love the food in Costa Rica, but were just really wanting something more familiar and this was just perfect! My husband and I shared a large pepperoni and onion pizza and had leftovers to take back to our hotel. The restaurant is in a good location right off the main street through town. We walked there after dark (around 6pm) from the Best Western hotel with no problem.
The people in Costa Rica are so friendly and the waitstaff here was no different. They were so nice and the atmosphere was so laid back.
You can look for the big sign on the side of the building that says "Cheerleaders" and there are signs saying it's the first restaurant established in Jacó. I'm sure you could ask anyone along the way to help you find it too. Google Maps worked very well for us the whole time we were in Jacó. This restaurant is also very family friendly. There were a couple of families there and the kids were doted on...
Read moreWe tried the shrimp pizza and the garlic bread, which were both perfectly cooked and super tasty! The shrimp pizza is a thin style pizza and was full of flavor, the shrimp were juicy and tender. They offered freshly grated cheese, spicy oil, oregano and red chili flakes to add to your pizza. The man making the dough worked all day long throwing pizza and bread.
We also tried the garlic bread in which you can get with or without cheese. The bred was so good and just the right amount of garlic and the cheese paired perfectly.
They make some spicy chili guaro shots! Mainly spicy and not too much flavor going on.
The service was absolutely terrible as the male American waitor I had would never come to the table when I would flag him down. The chili guaro shot took 20 minutes to come out, as it seemed like the server just really disliked us. I had to go up and pay for my food because he never would return to the table and I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes when the place only had a...
Read moreI went here for dinner with my family after hearing that the pizza was good. The dining area is outside and it was very hot so we turned on some of their fans. We ordered Ceviche as an appetizer, it was a small portion with a few chips on the side, we’ve had better at many other restaurants. We then ordered pizzas and there was a long wait for the food as the kitchen was pizza with takeout orders. The food arrived and it was very thin crust pizza. There was a mix up with ours I think it arrived with just cheese and sauce. So they took it to the kitchen and just tossed some toppings on top of the already cooked pizza and brought it back to our table. Haha. Overall we found the food below average and very salty. It was also around 40,000 colonies for the modest meal. We won’t be returning as we can get pizza anywhere for cheaper price, or spent 40,000 colonies and have a real sit down dinner at a beach...
