Morales House Grill — Restaurant in Jacó

Stopped there on Dec 26 and it was very quiet except for the loud techno music on the first floor but we sat upstairs which was a lot quieter. We had a nice view of the street. Kids enjoyed babyfoot and pool tables.

We were a group of 9 and overall, the food was okay but our bacon burgers were big time overcooked (despite having asked for medium rare) and the buns were cold and dry. Typical costa rican dishes were okay but the fish was drown in a sea of batter...One took the chicken burger and it was good.

The service was friendly but they missed one order and one of us had to wait for another 15 mins to get her plate...

Drinks were good.

The prices were decent but we did not like to be told that the 10% added to the bill for "servicio" was just for the "boss" and we were encouraged to leave more tips. In my book, tips are included or not...

This place is Costa Rica’s hidden gem—no exaggeration. I stumbled on Morales Grille on my last day like a plot twist in a feel-good movie, and now I’m mad I didn’t find it sooner.

The atmosphere? Straight-up perfect. Comfortable seating, TVs in every direction, and music that had me vibin’ before my food even hit the table. And the food? Whew. Let’s just say it was so good I caught the spirit of James Brown—I was doing the splits in my soul. Every bite had me dancing like, “I feel good!”

But what really took it to another level was the service. Friendly, fast, and on point—it felt like they weren’t just serving food, they were serving love on a plate.

I seriously wish I had eaten here every day of my trip. Next time I touch down in Costa Rica, Morales Grille is my first stop—no questions asked. Thank you for ending my trip on a high note. Y’all are...

My husband and I could not agree on where to eat our first night in Jaco. As fate would have it, the rain started just as we reached the corner next to Morales Grill so we ducked in. We sat at the bar, ordered /1/4 chicken dinners (thigh for hubby and breast for me). We watched as they grilled the chicken, roasted the potatoes and steamed the vegetables. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and the garlic and chimichurri sauce was delicious. This was was one of the better meals we had in 12 days in Costa Rica. I could not finish my meal and the brought me a green recycleble container for my leftovers (which still tasted good 2 days later)! Food delicious, serviced was attentive, and the price...
