We booked a table and wrote we will be comming with a baby, we asked if that was ok and got a confirmation that it was. When we arrived a gentleman (overall good guy) offered to help us with the carriage inside. We sat down and ordered our drinks and food drinks in first as there is no printed menu (we were the first guests to arrive). A second table came shortly after us and had a toddler. They got a baby chair while we who have a 10 month old baby weren't even asked if we needed one. We asked could we also get one as we didn't know they had availability. They said it was their only one and apologized about the inconvenience. Due to this being my wifes birthday we did not want to seem impolite and make a scene during their work hours. We proceded with the appetizers (Salmon salad and spicy tuna rolls). Neither were exceptional. For the mains my wife ordered the Osaka combo and I ordered the wok beef. Both of the dishes were ok, but again nothing to make me come again. As I worked in fine dinining in both Croatia and Asia in both Michelin stared restautants as a manager and head sommalier I was very disappointed with the level of attention given to customers. I tip very well every time I go to a restaurant but this was most likely the first time I left no tip what so ever. Best of luck to the restaurant and hope they adress some issues more delicately in the future.

Read moreTekka in Zagreb is an absolute gem for anyone who loves authentic Japanese cuisine! I had the pleasure of dining here recently, and it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish.
The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant and serene, creating a perfect setting for a memorable meal. The staff are exceptionally courteous and attentive, making sure every detail is taken care of and that guests feel welcomed and comfortable.
The menu at Tekka is diverse and offers a wide range of traditional Japanese dishes. I was particularly impressed with the sushi and sashimi, which were incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors. The chefs clearly take great pride in their craft, and it shows in the meticulous preparation and presentation of the dishes.
Tekka is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. The combination of exceptional food, superb service, and a tranquil atmosphere makes it a must-visit for anyone in Zagreb. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their...
Read moreVery good choice for a nice bite Japanese style. Huge menu selection from war and cold appetizers, soups, different kinds of sushi, and main entrees. We tried spring rolls, (chicken and shrimp) and 3 types of uramki (crispy tuna, salmon and , spicy tuna). They were good to very good but did not blow my mind which I expected for that price. For main entree we had seafood wok, octopus and double portion of spring rolls. All plates were exquisite in presentation, tasty but lack that wow effect that I expected based on presentation, restaurant interior and price. We also had green tea ice cream with sesame paste, chocolate cake and meringues. Meringues were best desert even though mascarpone-vanilla cream is too sweat. Same thing with chocolate cake. All in all, 5 star for interior, service, plating, 4 star for taste. Slightly overpriced...
Update: after two more visits I stand behind my review. Only change I would make is that best desert is banana and coconut tiramisu and my favorite meal is still...
