My sister, my dad and I stayed in this hotel for a night in between traveling. There was such a BED BUG problem that we ended up leaving the hotel at about 2:30 am. Our room had 3 separate twin size beds and all 3 beds had bed bugs. They fed on us like leeches in no time at all. My sister had dozens of bites all over her, causing painful soccer ball size welts. (I guess she had an allergic reaction?) We weren't even there one full night yet still ended up paying full price - no discount was offered. We had no problem paying in hopes that they would take our complaint seriously and address the issue, however a discount definitely should have been offered. When we told the receptionist, he claimed he had never heard of any other complaints of bed bugs, but there was such an infestation and many of the bed bugs were so large/full grown/adult size that I would find that hard to believe. I understand things like this happen but there was absolutely no remorse from the hotel whatsoever, nor did they try and work with us in any way shape or form. This hotel was supposed to be a place to get some rest in between an extended travel, however only ended up causing more hassle and exhaustion. We stayed at this hotel for one night about a year ago as well with no problems or complaints (I think it was even the same room) but we unfortunately did not have the same luck this time around. We are on a 3-week trip starting from Zagreb, covering several Balkan countries and ending with a 10-day beach holiday in Greece. For our stops, we specifically searched for hotels with parking, rooms with either tiled or parquet flooring, and a Booking.com rating above 8.
This hotel was the only one in the area that met our criteria—especially parquet floors and parking—so we booked it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment.
First of all, the hotel was extremely dirty. It’s hard to describe how unpleasant the room felt upon arrival. While the lady working at breakfast was very kind and friendly (probably the only positive part of our stay), everything else fell short of expectations.
The sound insulation is terrible. I could literally hear the person in the next room snoring all night, and I almost had to put cotton in my ears just to get some sleep. It’s one of the noisiest hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
I can safely say I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There are surely better options out there—this hotel’s high score is simply...
Read moreFamily Hotel, 100% recommedable !!! We spent two days at the hotel, during which we also toured the city. The hotel has a very good location, with several tram stations less than 50 meters away, which allows you to go to practically any part of the city quickly and comfortably. Parking must be reserved in advance, but it is practical for solving the problem of "where to leave the car." The hotel receptionists are very friendly and are always available to help with tourist information or anything else guests may need. The rooms are spacious and comfortable (we rented a triple and a double). The bathrooms were functional and clean. Breakfast has a good variety, but above all the quality of the food was very good. It is very interesting that the hotel reception is open 24 hours, which allows arrival at any time. Also the ubication allow you to go by Walk to city center, like 20min, or if you like to visit other points, the bus station it is at 200 mts approximately. it is a really good choice to park the car, enjoy the city and then start the car just to continue the trip...
