An excellent experience top to bottom! I had an 8 course tasting meal that started with a wonderful oyster and it was straight uphill from there. The slow cooked octopus tentacles followed by a tuna tartare were a dream. The dishes were elegant and contained many components that worked wonders together but also tasted great on their own which demonstrated their quality. Each dish also played around with textures in a manner that added a tactile element (crispy, soft, creamy etc.) which added to the complexity. The mushroom truffle risotto as the middle course strayed away from the fish dishes and was a left-field surprise that really hit the spot. A pállate cleanser came after it to guide me back to the fish theme of the tasing menu. Circling around to what was mentioned before, the food started off great and got better and better as the meal progressed. The signature cocktails were spot on and original also boasting balance and complexity. The staff were really well mannered and knowledgable, presenting each dish exceptionally. Understaffed as they were due to their colleagues injury, they still provided me with enough attention to keep my glass full and keep me entertained as we discussed local wine. The atmosphere was enriched with live music that was very tasteful and nuanced. The view is spectacular to say the least. Considering the location, food, service and atmosphere, I found the dinner to be rather inexpensive. 10/10, would...
Read moreIf you're looking for a place where the view is the only thing worth paying for, then this restaurant is the spot for you. But if you care at all about food, service, or a pleasant dining experience, look elsewhere.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff only cared about how much we were going to spend. The manager didn't even bother to greet us properly or explain the menu; instead, they just asked if we were ordering food or just drinks. We were seated based on that, with no effort to make us feel welcome or valued as customers.
The service was shockingly poor. The waitstaff seemed uninterested and didn't take the time to explain any of the dishes or specials, even though other tables around us were treated the same way. Food was dropped on the table without a word, like they were in a rush to get us out as soon as possible. It felt like they were just trying to maximize sales without any regard for the dining experience.
To sum it up, this place is all about the view and nothing else. The service is terrible, the staff is sales-oriented, and the food is served without any care or explanation. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you’re only interested in the view and don’t mind being treated like a dollar sign. Avoid this place if you want to enjoy your meal and feel like a...
Read moreAbsolutely the BEST restaurant in Dubrovnik!! Might not look so fancy, but it’s cozy and we felt so welcomed. We had a wonderful evening here on last day of trip in Dubrovnik - which could not have been better, Wish we had found this place earlier! Well, in such a touristic place, even rating and number of reviews do not help much to find a nice place to eat, if you don’t spend time reading them. Went there for cocktails in the evening before sunset boat tour - cocktails were amazing!! Tried smoky Mojito and Mai Tai (Cocktail glass also being the star) which were just perfect!! Liked it so much that we ended up booking a table for dinner as well. (Tip- Request for a table by the side for a beautiful view of harbour). Coming to dinner- Food was PERFECT!! Tried Stonebass filet, Tuna steak and oysters, it was so fresh, delicious and wonderfully presented. Cocktails after dinner - tried Mojito and Seaside colada (served in Pineapple shaped fancy copper glass). I can simply say - It is absolutely one of the best place for cocktails that I have tried so far. Service was top notch- Just Fantastic!! They were houseful, still they ensured all the guests were having a good time. Prices - cannot complain!! It was similar as other places or little less in Dubrovnik but worth...
