Guest House Kingslanding Old town — Hotel in Dubrovnik

Quite possibly one of the worst hostels I have ever stayed in. The owner is self absorbed about his time on game of thrones over looking after his guests, talks about himself over propitiating guests. Filthy conditions, air condition made me sick and was only cleaned on my departure. Shower clogs leaving stagnant water and flies. They over booked and made the volunteering staff stay on the floor just so the owners could stay in a room, selfish on their part and irresponsible. I did not have a bed until late at night because they couldn’t organise the beds. ||||I’ve just come to a new hostel in Vienna, and after not sleeping for two days and getting really sick in a lovely city of Dubrovnik I have finally got better and slept as my new hostel is amazing. ||||The owners really need to travel to new hostels and see how professional they are run compared to their hostel. This is not a biased review of a persoanlity of a person, just honest feedback on how I felt during my stay. ||||After all my issues they even charged me 5 euro to wash my clothes and dry them myself on the lines, not w problem however just money grabbing in my opinion, could have been free to compensate my accommodation issues. ||||The owners blame the staff, which is poor management, it is the owners fault not the staff, failure comes from the top. I guess it makes sense why the owner calls himself “the king” (yes believe it or not he does this) because kings do always fall short of serving their people.||||Avoid at all costs, stay in the 200 bed around the corner, life’s too short to save that 10 euros a night by...

Luxury as claimed. Spotless room about 200+ sqft and inside the Old Wall. The room had many windows that gave good air circulation. The soundproof the windows were excellent so that I could enjoy the city noise of partying or isolate if at my choice. Besides that, the additional fragrance in the entire property gave a relaxing feeling. Comfortable bed of the double twin. The only drawback was the bed came short that an average height 5ft10 person would have the feet hang out. Same as the very small bathroom size and the low ceiling. The apartment entrance could be painless with luggage if entering through the Pile Gate and turn left to the very first ally with the ramp toward the apartment instead of many steps on the side entrance of the Wall. Not sure why the owner decided to meet us under many stairs entrance.|The owner was very beautiful, classy and attentive for the entire 3-night stay. She hired an upscale and professional taxi service that was pleasant. The hotel is near to all good food restaurants. Room was in the small size to maneuver. The fee of $330 USD for 3 nights in late October seemed overprice, 10%-15% more than it should be, after I stayed in few other places of my Croatia first trip.|Good marketing but only 4/5 for the inconvenience...

After dealing with this owner, I read many of the other negative reviews and you can get a real sense and nature of this sketchy and inappropriate guy/owner and what he is willing to do to make or grift a few euros from unsuspecting tourists. I tried to cancel my stay when i realized it was the wrong city and country and he found every possible way to deny the refund. He refused ALL method of communications making it impossible to reason with him. Based on what I read in the reviews, none of this is shocking. He seems to love himself quite a bit with lots of selfies and not his actual filthy place on Tripadvisor. Anyone reading and other reviews would be well advised to heed good advice. He might have stolen my money but life and bad karma has a way of paying him back in spades.
