Snogu Dubrovnik — Restaurant in Dubrovnik

I wanted something tasty after a tiring day sightseeing, after Pizzas (not a whole lot of choice if veggie) and happened across Snogu yesterday. I went in and the service felt a little standoffish from the guy working there (could just be the language barrier perhaps but difficult to say.

I thought I’d give it another chance and so glad I did. I was a little apprehensive as the cook was cooking meat in the Woks, however, thankfully, the owner Sarah, happened to be there, having dinner. She asked the cook to clean the woks properly and made some suggestions with the types of sauces that are available. The food was tasty and the salad was too. I would certainly order here again, perhaps next time not underestimate the Ultra Hot sauce (which I asked to be mixed with Sweet Chilli and was hot). Usually, in England, hot is not that hot. Here, it says what it is.. ultra hot.

The food was the worst in our 3 weeks vacation in Europe. I normally don’t like to leave a bad review but I must warn everyone to look at the quality of the food. If the weather is extra hot, please look to see if the vegetables are not contaminated with bacteria. My oldest son got food poisoned (he ordered pad Thai) and my younger son broke out in hives (he ordered fried rice). It may be an off night but please pay attention if the food displayed is of Good quality and store in proper temperature. Besides being the low quality of the food that made my kids sick, the food is really salty. As an Asian person who eats lots of Asian food, this place is disappointing. The cashier lady was also the person who Prepped the food and was also the waitress. We had to clean the tables ourselves....

10 days in Croatia and I’m not even surprised about the customer service in this restaurant… Disappointing as the others. Croatia is lucky to have beautiful beaches, because if they live of customer service it would bankrupt.

When we arrived the tables were dirty (which is fine), the person who was serving didn’t clean the table (it’s fine if you don’t want to sanitise for COVID, but please, at least clean with a damp cloth).

The food was ok. The price? Dubrovnik price, which means expensive. This place needs a lot of more experience with customer service, because if it’s expensive but good customer service it’s fine. But when you just turn the back to your clients (don’t be surprised I guess it’s something from here) you won’t be happy to pay £10 for a small...
