We dined there 2 weeks ago today, and, from start to finish, our experience at Poklisar was fantastic! We’d requested the center arch table near the water, but when we arrived, they had closed that section due to wind concern. After we expressed our strong desire to have THAT specific view, they quickly accommodated us and set up the space to our liking! The view was gorgeous as expected…and it only got better from there.

Our server, Tanja, greeted us with a big smile and was quite hospitable even though she had to travel to our remote area of the restaurant to work with us. She promptly recommended the Pink Blossom as a fun beverage to start, and we decided on a local Sauvignon Blanc to accompany our dinners. The drinks were delicious…and it only got better from there.

Upon second glance, the restaurant’s online menu (at the time of this review) does not match the menu we saw. However, Tanja let us know about items she knew had the best reviews by patrons, so we ordered with confidence. Suffice it to say, our taste buds were pleased! We sampled 3 dishes among the three of us so we didn’t have to settle on just one flavor and face food FOMO. We had the Creamy Cuttlefish Black Risotto, the Prosciutto crudo pizza, and the Tagliatelle homemade pasta with truffles, porcini mushrooms, and a garlic cream sauce. Each dish offered its own unique flavor and was thoroughly enjoyed by all…and it only got better from there.

Tanje knew we were quite full but reminded us that we were on vacation so we needed to treat ourselves with some sweets. And that we did!! We shared the olive oil rosemary and lemon cake and had 2 scoops of the chocolate ice cream. It was the perfect ending to a perfect evening.

If you are in the area and pass by Poklisar, stop and sample the cuisine. You’ll be glad you did! (And ask to be seated in Tanja’s section. She’s the...

The best restaurant we tried in our week long stay in Dubrovnik, by far. We even went two days in a row! The staff was very professional and helpful. The food was delicious! The view great, the atmosphere very relaxed and there was also great live music, but not at a volume that disturb conversation. They have 3 vegetarian mains and at least 3 vegetarian pizzas. The first night both my husband and I had penne alla norma. It was delicious. On the off chance that you are Italian don't expect the same exact dish you would be served in Italy: aubergine is roast and marinated rather than fried and the tomato sauce has some spices added to it but it tasted really good. We also had chips and olive for sides, both really good and we were pleasantly surprised at being served what looked and tasted like Kalamata olives. We also had the lemon cake when olive oil and rosemary, which was also rather nice. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of our first meal there as we tucked in immediately! The second night we had pizza, I had the Mediterranea one, with aubergine and grana padano and my husband had cotto and funghi. We both loved it, it was very tasty, not too salty and easy to digest. A bit more pricey than other restaurants we tried but absolutely worth it. Would definitely recommend and will go back if we are ever in...

sept 26th, around 4.30 pm, visited this restaurant and i was HORRIBLY treated by one of the staff (I dont know his name,) After we told him what we want to order, my friend simply and politely asked him to bring the drinks now. He didnt like it , asked her several times to repeat what she said, and he was like « of course i will bring the drinks now it’s my job, you’re teaching me my job! Do you know where you are! ». He made a big deal out of it, he went and then came back and opened the subject again. When we were arguing that she only requested that because she was thirsty and wondering how her simple request has offended him by any means, he said « because it’s a stupid request »!!!!! I asked him « did u say stupid ? », he kept on changing the subject then he was like « no i didnt », even though we’re 100% sure he said it TWICE ! We tried to ask another waiter (named Vlaho) for help, he made it even worse and he blamed us saying « you’re over reacting »!!!!!! This is the worst customer service experience i’ve had in Croatia ! They’re very rude !!! While my friend was talking, he interrupted her to comment on me wearing mask outdoors !!! He was like «  u’re covering ur face from fresh air ! »...
