Caffe Bar MaBelle — Restaurant in Dubrovnik

We visited this coffee bar in the morning and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. First, we waited a long time before anyone came to take our order. When the waiter finally arrived, there were several of us, but instead of waiting to take everyone’s orders, he just noted a few and walked away. When he returned, we tried to ask if they had hot chocolate, we barely got as far as “do you have hot…” before he cut us off with a blunt “no” and left again. His attitude throughout was impatient and rude, which made the experience uncomfortable. Some in our group did receive drinks, but they weren’t impressed with the quality. As for me, I never even got the chance to place an order and eventually gave up. Looking around, we noticed other customers also seemed surprised or unsettled after interacting with him, so this wasn’t just our table. DO NOT GO HERE. Out of my entire trip across Europe, this place was the worst experience hands down. The place was unsanitary and didn't seem to be upkept. I can try to accept that because we're in a rather rural area.

But the clerk at the bakery (or might have been the owner from the looks of it, an elderly woman) was extremely rude when I went into order, and she threw the plate and bread as if we were a nuisance. Maybe she's having a bad day or a life crisis, but even so, in dire need to learn basic manners and civility. Our day during our vacation was ruined.

I paid, but couldn't eat it because it was so stale and bland -- it was probably made a very long time ago.

I immediately went next door to Fashion Cafe, where I was greeted by the nicest person.

Do skip this sad establishment they call cafe, as the relatively high rating is not representative at all of reality and leaves a foul taste...

Caffe Bar MaBelle is a nice spot to enjoy a good cup of coffee at a fair price. The value for money is definitely reasonable, and the atmosphere is welcoming.
