KALA LUXURY ROOMS by DuHomes — Hotel in Dubrovnik

We booked kala when looking for a reasonably priced place for 4 nights in Dubrovnik and were so happy with the quality of the stay. The location for us was perfect, just off the harbour with a good selection of bars/restaurants to choose from on the same street, easy reach of old town on a 10 minute bus ride which is regular, although did get busy at peak times, and 10/15 minute walk to lapad beach. The rooms were clearly new, in perfect condition and renovated to a good quality standard. Was spotlessly cleaned and restocked every day. Reception staff were helpful (it’s not staffed all day but easy to reach staff on mobile number provided). The hot tub was turned down to cool in the hot weather making a perfect little spot to relax behind the hotel. Also a lovely pool bar 2 minute walk on the harbour where for the price of a drink you can use the pool, or hire sunbeds for the day. Would recommend the kala rooms and stay again if...

I recently stayed at KALA and had an outstanding experience. The location is unbeatable, just a 3-minute walk to the bus station, which made getting around incredibly convenient. The historic center (Stari Grad) is only a 15-minute bus ride away, allowing easy access to explore the city's rich history and vibrant culture.

The rooms are luxurious, providing a comfortable and elegant atmosphere. One of the highlights was the outdoor jacuzzi, which added a touch of relaxation and indulgence to the stay.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile.

We made a reservation for two rooms at the end of June 2024 for our August 15-17 stay and received a confirmation from the hotel, requiring a credit card number for securing the rooms but not to be charged until arrival. After a long journey, we arrived around 9pm to be told that the rooms had been sold to other guests. They said they had tried to contact me when they tried charge my credit card the week before (no indication this was going to happen) and the charge was denied. They had my email address and phone number but I had not received any contact to either. We then had a terrible challenge finding alternate accomodation so late.
