We had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant "Nauta," and it was an experience that convinced us in every way. I would especially like to highlight the delicious bread, the excellently prepared fish, the exceptionally friendly service, and the beautiful outdoor area.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly and cordially welcomed. Our table was located in the lovingly designed outdoor area, adorned with numerous vegetable beds and blooming plants. This green oasis conveyed a special tranquility and immediately allowed us to relax.

As a starter, we had the Nauta platter with local cheese and sausage specialties. We were served freshly baked bread, which tasted simply heavenly. It was crispy, flavorful, and perfect for satisfying our small hunger before the main course.

The highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the fish. Fresh and excellently prepared, it was a true masterpiece of the kitchen. The preparation highlighted the quality and freshness of the fish, and every bite was a delight.

The service at "Nauta" was outstanding. Our waitress Marija was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always there when we needed something. She took the time to explain the dishes to us and accommodated all our wishes. Her dedication and professionalism significantly contributed to our well-being.

The lovingly designed outdoor area was particularly impressive. The beds with tomatoes and other plants showed attention to detail and created a unique atmosphere. It was wonderful to dine amidst this green splendor and enjoy the evening.

My sister and I made a stop in Stari Grad on a Sail Croatia tour. Whilst most people didn’t venture far from the boat and the port, we found Nauta on Google maps and decided to walk 30 minutes into the town to give it a try. We are pleased that we did!

We weren’t that hungry so we ordered a couple of smaller plates to share. At the owner’s (presumably) recommendation, we ordered the mixed meat portion, Greek salad and zucchini and potato, all reasonably priced. The mixed meat offered us a taste of 4 different meats, the pork was my personal favourite. The lamb was a bit dry but there was a nice sauce to make up for it. The Greek salad was great whilst the zucchini and potato dish was a bit bland, needed salt and would be better grilled but fine to get some extra veges in the meal.

The venue is lovely, in a quieter area with a nice outdoor atmosphere. Kind staff. Slower, relaxed service, best enjoyed if you’re not in a hurry.

Had the most beautiful experience at this restaurant. Incredible food and outstanding service. My family and I arrived tired and hungry, outside of opening hours, and the owner Sasha kindly decided to cook especially for us - even though he and the staff were on break. Sasha treated us with the most warm hospitality and grace and we shared many laughs and enlivening conversations together. It was an unforgettable experience, not to mention the food itself. Super tasty, perfectly cooked and prepared, locally sourced Croatian food. We couldn’t believe the sensory experience we were having in our mouths. The servings were also very generous, and we left feeling completely full and satisfied. We are so grateful to Sasha for specially staying open and cooking this delicious meal for us, it was a unique and unforgettable experience and insight into Croatian cuisine and culture.
