We come to this konoba for few years now and we were always satisfied. Typical Croatian meals, great fish and good local wine. ..but what we experienced today was an unhappy disgusting situation. It was all about a waiter we never met before (longer hair, stronger figure). A typical unwanted situation that can spoil the impression of a venue, that is built for years by hard-working owner and his staff. A "gentleman" replied to a simple question with an attitude of a tired, old, bored and anti tourist employee. Unfortunately, that is why I have to change my earlier evaluation of this restaurant from fivestars to two. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone anymore unless this pure guy is out of a place. It ruined my father's birthday evening. Read moreBistro offers wide array of foods for an affordable price. The atmosphere and location around the object seem very nice and relaxing. Staff is very polite, at your disposal at all times.
"Pašticada" is the food I ordered and I dont think I am capable of describing the tastiness revolved aroud it. I dont have much experience with this type of food, but it was the best for I am evert tried by now.
I stuck with the foods from "gotova jela" section which I think are the most convenient to have.
In conclusion, Bistro Kod Damira is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it receives. The combination of nice prices, a nice location, very nice food, and a great staff makes it a must-visit for locals and visitors alike. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to enjoy the wonderful dining...
Read moreThis was recommended as a place locals eat and not too expensive so sounded like what we wanted. We pre booked for 4 and turned uo as 6 and easily accommodated and only half full. However, it was not long before it was full with a que forming outside. We sat outside surrounded by poted bushes and next to the public "water spray paving" that the small kids loved, and it all added to the appeal and atmosphere. All the food served up was great tasty, and god servings. The tuna I had was cooked perfectly. A couple of our group did not get what they expected/ ordered, and we guess that was a translation thing when a shrimp salad turned up with king prawns. The wine was as ever was local and delicious. It's not a 5-star restraunt, but it deserves 5 stars for a gooogle rating as I would go back...
