Yesterday me and my girlfriend came across this sweet restaurant, we walked in to make a reservation later that night. Once we were there we were kindly welcomed by the waiters wearing aprons wich contribute to the atmosphere of the restaurant. The design of the Chairs tables Knives and forks all fit together to this ‘Beef Bar’ as they call it.
The restaurant speciality is steaks so we went for the ‘dry aged rib eye’. The waiter came to us telling the pieces meat were 750g + instead of the 500g it said on the menu. Hè suggested to take te one of 750 and order a second ‘normal steak with it. We went along with this suggestion and the rest is history. The pieces of meat were absoluty AMAZING. The little parts of fat melting on your tong combining with the meat is just outstanding. We visit a lot of steak restaurants and this was defenitly one of the best we’ve ever had! We asked the chef for a ‘rare’ steak and he perfecy excecuted this.
If you’re a fan of meat and want to have something really good and special go for this one. And if you dont want to go for the special rib eye, the ‘normal’ steak was also top of tier.
The 500g rib eye cost you around 55€ but it was defenitly worth it in our opinion. We had a great night to remember.
In the end we tipped the waiter for his kindness, présence and...
Read moreWent in positive as they claimed to have the finest steak in town and had good ratings. The food presentation was beautiful and the wine was great (we got lucky because the waiter couldn’t tell us anything about the wines)
The hostess was pleasant but the service and hospitality of the waitstaff was non-existent. Almost felt like a bother to be sitting there. Very dismissive, inattentive and seemingly annoyed to be there.
Unfortunately, the steak was the worst part. Ordered a ribeye at medium. Part of my steak came out well done (completely gray) and the other medium rare to rare. So both undercooked at parts and undercooked in others. Also, over salted.
The fried potatoes stack that came with it was a very nice departure from what you would expect, but it was heavily over salted. So much so that it was inedible. The grilled veggies was really nice and the flavored butter was delicious. Concept good, execution poor.
The sea bass was nice and was portioned well, juicy and came with a great accompanying sauce. The potato salad on the side was borderline over salted but was okay as well.
We had the bruschetta prima to start which was a great start although a...
Read moreWhat an amazing restaurant! We were in the last night in Zadar, after a week of enjoying really nice restaurants. Then while walking in a kind of hidden street in the Center of Zadar we passed the Kapric restaurant. We were attracted by this stylish restaurant. We were undecided about choosing something new on our last night but we decided to be brave! All the staff were so welcoming and helpful, with always a smile in their faces. The design of the the restaurant is so fabulous, modern and rustic with a bit of a quirky side. We fell in love just by passing by it! Then we ordered and we were blown away. The tender loin we ordered could almost be cut without a knife and full of taste, specially with the most delicious truffle sauce! The starters were so tasteful and and also the deserts. My favourite one was the flourless chocolate cake. We were even offered two sweet wine shots to go with our deserts! I am so happy we found this hidden treasure in our last...
