The restaurant is in a alley adjacent to the main street so you are in the shade and won't melt under the sun, but if it is a windy day it can get quite drafty so do bring a light jacket. Most of the restaurant is outside, with some tables being on a small terrace, and some along the wall of the street. The atmosphere itself is quite relaxed and has that penchant Mediterranean feel to it, especially at night when the lights turn on. An important thing to note is that the bathroom is Quite small and not accessible with a wheelchair since there is a step to enter the building where it is, but otherwise everything else is on street level and wheelchair accessible. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They are professionals, and I quite enjoyed bantering with them. As for the food itself, it is very well made, and tasty too. We ordered pizzas and a meat platter, which is to say mostly meat, but the menu itself is mostly seafood related, so one might say there is a bit of something for everyone. All in all, a cozy and relaxing experience, and is just a smidge more expensive than your usual...
Read moreAccording to Gault & Millau this is supposed to be a restaurant rated 12,5/20. It comes not even close to this score.
I ordered a steak with truffle(sauce). The steak was cooked to my preference BUT there was no seasoning whatsoever. The sauce only had a mild truffle flavor. In other less pricy restaurants you will even get freshly shaved truffles. Other than some baked potatoes there were no sides. You can order them on the side but they don't tell you this in advance. The plating was very poor, as yoj can expect without any vegetables.
The service started out good, the waiter made a few jokes but as the evening progressed the jokes were starting to get very uncomfortable.on top of that they charged us for bread we did not receive. . The chicken my girlfriend ordered was the same as the steak. Almost no seasoning, bad plating and only a few beansprouts.
The menus were in a very bad state. There were holes, prices were changed with and the cards were messy. You can get better menu cards in fast food restaurants.
Gault & Millau should return once more to give them...
Read moreThe server was great, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. We got prosciutto and cheese platter with some bread. The bread was delicious. The prosciutto was good, but only 3 pieces of cheese and nothing fancy, it was just ok.
For dinner, the server recommended the beef and gnocchi. It did not look appealing, but he said it was very traditional. The flavor was pretty good and there was a lot of food. The description on the menu had a much better description than the meal presented. It was just beef shanks in a stew/ gravy, but the gnocchi was soft and smooth, melted in my mouth. Overall the dish was a little disappointing and I would not get it again.
My wife got the lamb, also recommended and she loved it. The presentation was amazing, the flavor was awesome, and she enjoyed every bit of it.
Overall the place was great and the service was top notch. Will definitely head back next time...
