Restaurant Malo Misto — Restaurant in Grad Zadar

Malo misto gave us such a wonderful meal. We had tried a few restaurants already but this one was just the top. We were served by Milan, who treated us professionally and with authentic customer service. We had tomato and mozzarella started and octopus salad, both were delicious, mozzarella not what we're used to but still delicious. Octopus salad also had cheese in it and I would highly recommend it. Our mains were seabream Dalmatian style and the beefsteak with a cream sauce. Not a single complaint they both were spectacular and the best meal we had in Zadar. They gave us a small complimentary icecream with berry sauce. I just can't tell you how much you should eat here. Everything is so fresh and seasoned perfectly. We went for and early dinner/late lunch and won't need to eat again today, prices are the same as other nice restaurants in Zadar. Our 2 starters, 2 mains, glass of zadar rosé came to €65-ish. Ypu can get cheaper food in Zadar but none will leave you...

Stopped for a wonderful lunch after looking at TripAdvisor. Almost decided not to go in because they said they were opening at 12.30 not 12 - we returned at 12.35 only to find a sign saying opening at 1! Luckily as we were deciding whether or not to find another place they did open and begin setting up.

I shared the seafood platter and the cuttlefish risotto with two friends and it was delightful. There were two types of fish (one was a John dory and absolutely delicious), langoustines, fried squid, scallop, tuna... it did not disappoint.

Others in our party had fried calamari and a mixed grill (he said the mixed grill was much like any other but the calamari was very good.

Apart from the food we also received warm bread to begin with and free ice cream at the end which we thought was lovely. Rare to not get charged a cover fee and tap water was also free.

All in all we were very pleased with the restaurant, especially as it was our last...

Very miserable man at the entrance. Waiters telling us to move when rushing past with wine glasses. We understand that it’s a restaurant and it’s busy but after eating in many restaurants in many countries I don’t think I’ve ever been to a restaurant that makes you feel ao uncomfortable. We asked for a table for 8 but understood this probably would be a big ask, and we’re happy to split. The man was very snappy telling us there’s nothing he can do. Everything was very rushed, so much so that when the waiter came he didn’t even have time to look up a us and just barked at us asking what we wanted. Most of the party only decided to have a drink as it was rushed and uncomfortable. Considering the prices on the menu you would think the service would be at least above par. Of the three people who had food, they said it was tasty but expensive for what they’ve had. Would 100% not recommend and would avoid. Find somewhere where there is good...
