Fantastic Dining Experience in Zadar Old Town!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a charming restaurant in Zadar Old Town with my family, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly by the attentive staff.

The first thing that caught our attention was the generous portion sizes of the dishes. The appetizers were simply delightful, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. Each bite was a true delight for the taste buds, setting the tone for a memorable meal.

The main courses were equally impressive, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the flavors harmonized perfectly to create a culinary masterpiece. What truly elevated our dining experience was the excellent service we received throughout the evening. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making sure that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. They went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and ensure that we were well taken care of.

The best dining experience in Zadar

Not only that this restaurant is not a miss if you want to eat excellent food, but you'll also find (for Croatia very unusual) perfect service. We were lucky to be served by Joseph, a kind person who seems to love his job and who added to our brilliant experience by his polite personality and friendliness. The place and food at L'Osteria 12 are so spectacular that we have visited twice (so far) and we're definitely going to pay at least one more visit before we leave Zadar. I totally fell in love with the flavours and presentation of the food and with the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Located in a beautiful garden with great ambiance this little restaurant can be packed even on weekday evenings during high season. We waited 10mins but the people ahead of us for around 45mins - it would have been nice for someone from the restaurant to check in with those waiting. Service was friendly but quite slow considering there were few tables by 10pm when we were seated. Portions are really big but food is nothing too exciting. The mussels were a bit old and the bread in the bruschetta felt like supermarket quality. The salmon and squid were delish though. Details in the experience could have been improved eg. the massive wine ice bucket could be placed elsewhere instead of on the tiny table especially for the price of 85€ for 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 glasses of wine for 2 people.
