What a place! This restaurant was by far the best experience in our week-stay on the island. Our host in Bol recommended it and they succeeded all the expectations: starting from the staff, very welcoming and kind, super attentive to details, friendly and helpful. Tomislava - the sister of the owner made us feel like home with our little puppy Lia ❤️ The view is also one of the best you can get in Bol, their terrace feels so cozy and gives you a fantastic atmosphere! We tried their meat platte for two and it was AMAZING! Super tasty - a huge portion served with french fries. They also make a daily menu everyday for lunch (they post the menu on Facebook in the morning) and you can get one of their amazing dishes at around 13:00PM for only 7€! We came back for lunch and dinner more times during the week we were in Bol and everything was always very fresh and cooked to perfection! Can’t recommend this enough. Thank you for making...
Read moreWe were so lucky to try this gem our very first night in Bol. We had Tomislava for our server and she was brilliant. She recommended the Beef Pašticada and the Monkfish, so we shared those and paired it with a Stina white wine that she also recommended. It was so good, that we invited my friend’s parents out to the island to visit so we could take them there to experience it also. So for our second visit, we had Maria looking after us, but we didn’t need recommendations as we all had the Monkfish. On our last night in Bol, we made our third trip out of four nights and decided to again take recommendations and this time had the Tuna Steak and the sous vide Lamb with a Stina red wine and it was all delicious again. My top recommendations would be the Monkfish and the Lamb, but I feel confident saying that you cannot go wrong here. The staff are all very friendly and speak excellent English. I hope to come back and eat here...
Read moreWe ordered the beef stew, the house salad, the mussels in white wine, the spaghetti carbonara and the chocolate cake.
The mussels and the beef were overcooked. The mussels were very rubbery and the beef was hard (the waitress said that’s the norm for the region but we couldn’t eat it). The sauce for both dishes was nice.
The salad was quite basic, and the chocolate cake was enjoyable. However the table behind us was given a dessert on the house while we had to pay for ours, which was slightly rude. They’re free to offer to whomever they want but maybe more discretely.
When she enquired why we hadn’t eaten the beef, we said it was difficult and she wasn’t happy with that. We then said we didn’t want it packed she visibly wasn’t pleased with us. She then disappeared and we found it very difficult to flag her down for dessert or the bill.
We do not...
