Konoba Dinko — Restaurant in Općina Bol

Didn’t get to eat here but waited around 30 mins for a table after being told it would possibly be 10-15 mins. We were told that tables were freeing up and there was a queue. Two couple in front of our three. Two were sat pretty fast and then another two people showed up whilst we were waiting and were sat before us. Note they were made to wait for a good 10 mins and then were sat at they’re “reserved table”. Two people at a table for 4. Who has a reserved table and then makes those with the reservation wait outside until they’re allotted time?? Then the second couple waiting were Sat down at another table for 4 and almost immediately after a table for two finished and a solo traveler who came in after ALL of us was sat at the table for two. Now I don’t think I was unreasonable to challenge the waiter on his choice of seating arrangements but he could easily have organised it much better so everyone could have been seated within 5 mins of each other. Instead he decided to get defensive/ borderline angry and rude. We had no choice but to leave hungry considering the time we’d already waited and no free table in sight. We didn’t attempt to go back. The location is amazing, but the experience felt rushed. Food quality was good.

Restaurant Dinko is located on the seaside - amazing views included - and is away from the general crowd, slightly out of the center of Bol.

Our waiter was friendly and spoke multiple languages, but in general made a very rushed impression. Came to ask during dinner if all was ok, but before we finished our answer he was already on his way ;)

We ordered a starter, and whilst we were finishing it, the main course was served. My partner and I were in and out in 1 hr flat, whilst we had in mind to take our time and enjoy the (spectacular) view and food. Restaurant really tries to push through as many guests as possible.

Food was good, though on the salty side (especially the fries/potatoes). The beef steak (from the grill) was excellent however. Prices are fair.

I came in with, after recommendations, high expectations, and they were not all met. It's a decent place to eat, but service and overall experience made me decide on 4 stars...

I cannot comment over food nor the atmosphere, just allow me to put a star for one of the worst services ever. We (family with two small kids) sat for dinner waiting for a thunderstorm to start, and as soon as it started to rain we were showed the exit as it was « unsafe » to stay at the table they directed us to on the terrace. No one bothered to find a solution (other than tell us « find another restaurant »), and my wife and myself ended up walking under the rain and the thunders with ours sons. Of course, locals who arrived later than us at the restaurant were allowed to stay. The food could be great, but that counts zero without empathy and...
