If you're visiting Bol any time of the year this is a MUST... We were looking for a place to have lunch, we couldn't decide and as usual every restaurant on the side of the beach were full of people because of the view... we saw on Google maps that there was a restaurant on the side of one of the main roads of Bol and we went to take a look. The place was empty, just a lovely lady that told us to take a look at their menu. We were skeptical at first but we really wanted to give it a shot, and it was the best decision ever. As soon as we sat down the music started, beautiful hand crafted wooden chairs and tables and rustic style decorations. We asked for recommendations to this lady that was our waitress also and her husband was the cheff. She recommended us as a starter the octopus salad (this was her speciality) and for main dishes Horata and Lubina. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. We had never eaten an entire fish before so she even helped us and taught us how to do it! It was a beautiful experience that made our entire week, she made us feel like we were home even though we were thousands of kilometers away. It was like eating at our grandma's house in Argentina. We are really grateful and we want to comeback someday 100%. We forgot to ask her name but if you're reading this know that we're coming back and we hope you and your husband are healthy and doing...
Read moreWe came across this restaurant on our first day in Bol and decided we would eventually try it. Upon arrival, we were not greeted by anyone, as we walked in the restaurant without booking a table. A few minutes after, we decided to enter the kitchen and came across this sweet old lady who barely spoke English and said something like “must be easy”. We were a bit confused and decided to leave. A few days later, due to an upcoming storm on the island, we were looking for a restaurant nearby and decided to give it another chance. And we are very happy we did! The experience is unique and authentic. Despite the language barrier and the long waiting time, we managed to try their delicious seafood. Since the place is quite small, it got filled up very easily and there were a number of people coming in not being able to get a table. After we were done with our dinner, we got to really understand that this place has been running for over 50 years by a lovely couple. The husband who is in charge of cooking showed us the traditional way he grills seafood using charcoal. To sum up, if you end up there, just be patient and don’t leave without giving it a chance. You won’t be...

Not only was the restaurant atmosphere absolutely lovely, but the sweet lady who took our order and cooked all of the food was the most wonderful hostess anyone could ask for. She makes you feel like an honored guest the moment you step inside and goes out of her way to make sure you feel at home, which is appropriate as everything she cooks is homemade and the restaurant has been in her family for 50+ years.
We ordered a few dishes, all of which were delicious, but the chicken risotto might be the best risotto I have ever had. So much so that we had to come back a second time just to get it once more before we had to leave the island.
She was even so kind as to give us her own family produced rakija (grappa) as a digestif after we finished our meals. Even better, the prices are much more affordable for better quality food than anywhere else we dined at in Bol. This is a must for all vacationers...
