We came to the restaurant as a family, but from the moment we arrived the owner was extremely rude and disrespectful. He made insulting comments about our children and how they were eating. We felt so uncomfortable that we got up in the middle of the meal and left to eat elsewhere. After leaving, a woman who seemed to be either the owner’s wife or a kitchen staff member—accused us of pretending to leave in order to get free food, which was completely inappropriate and offensive. This place shows a total lack of professionalism and hospitality. We strongly advise others to avoid this restaurant
:This is my response to the owner's reply I categorically reject the version of events you described in your reply. It is unacceptable that you try to portray me and my family – especially my children – as having caused “unprecedented destruction,” simply to defend unkind and disrespectful behavior on your part.
Your response is not honest and misrepresents the reality of what took place. Not only did you fail to welcome us politely, you actually treated us with hostility from the moment we arrived. Attempting to blame me and my children is just a transparent attempt to avoid responsibility for your own conduct. My children behaved completely normally for their age, as happens regularly in restaurants around the world, and any tolerant restaurant owner understands this.
Your words are offensive and generalizing, showing no willingness to take responsibility or to truly listen. What I wrote in my original review is the full truth: the only thing “unusual” was the way you chose to...
Read moreWe visited Franx on the back of the other reviews but sadly my experience didn’t live up to it. Yes the staff were lovely and accommodating which made it ok but we ordered a pizza which most definitely tasted like a frozen base as it was dry and the sauce was dry and covered up with tonnes of cheese, I ordered chicken wings which looked microwaved and had been drowned in sauce which tasted awful and then a pork kebab as it was on special, this was very pink, bland and not the what I’d expect as a local dish. I think of you are offering food nowadays you need to be cooking fresh and it wasn’t as it all came out too fast. Needless to say we didn’t finish and left as soon as we could. My son is a pizza conniseur and I am a wing addict so we both know what they need to be like. We both ate what we could of of politeness but we Wouldn’t recommend for food but only...
Read moreFranx is a great little bar/restaurant with a real chilled atmosphere. Just up the road from the Four seasons hotel, it is nicely situated if you're out on an evening stroll or actually looking for a nice place to eat or drink. The staff are friendly and the environment is clean and tidy. Decorated with musical instruments and a few televisions playing football or music, it is the ideal place to dine out as a couple or as family. I would highly recommend this bar/restaurant if you are staying at this...
