KISSOS TAVERNA — Restaurant in Κοινότητα Αγίου Τύχωνα

As frequent guests who have been in this TAVERNA almost 100 times also September, 25th in 2025 we have been here for having Lunch. Both of us have ordered half of a Fish Filet with mashed potatoes. The portion was as big as the palm of one's hand and now will be charged with 12,50 €. This is 25% more than in 2024. This time I almost have cracked and destroyed my teeth. While eating the fish I suddenly bite at one metal SCREW (!!!) with a size of about 6 mm. I have presented it to the waiter named M. He became irritated and doesn't wanted to believe it..Then he took it away. Later I have found another piece of hard material (PVC?) with the size of about 3 mm in the mashed potatoes. Of course there was no excuse or compensation. So I needed to inform the waiter that I will not pay for my meal. Single Espresso is charged here with 5 €. This is the same price which the opposite located 5 Star Hotel Four Seasons is charging for their guests. The Boss of this Restaurant is never greeting us. And of course as frequent guests we never got invited for something from the House. The ambiance is nice: You can sit under real living trees and you can watch Fishes in a big Aquarium. This Taverna is located opposite the hotel FOUR SEASONS.

That is why you will find many guests out of this hotel.

The Taverna is specialized on seafood.

I prefer it although you can get also a Hamburger or a steak.

All is simple prepared and served fast.

The correct impression you can only get after some visits.

Here you will find a huge aquarium as an attraction with wonderful looking fishes which you can admire behind the glass front.

The atmosphere is cosy because you are sitting among nature trees.

On Christmas at lunch time a man was sitting in front of the aquarium and smoking a cigarette.

It was seen by the restaurant owner without that it has lead to a small talk.

The owner has an own parrot (Ara) which is sitting on his shoulder or next to him.

Of course the guests are interested in him and want to take a picture.

The service is fast and mostly ( depending on the season) attentive.

The prices are higher than average.

Absolutely delicious food with a refined, unforgettable taste. Service was quick and professional. The atmosphere speaks for itself – just scroll through the photos.

It’s a bit on the pricey side, but every single cent is worth it for the quality and flavor you get. Highly recommended, 120%.

I had to come back here and add this. The food at Kissos Taverna is simply outstanding. Every dish we tried was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The grilled meats were juicy with just the right char, the fried calamari was light and crispy, and even the sides like the rice and potatoes were full of taste and care.

The attention to seasoning and texture is clear in every bite. This is honest, authentic cooking that makes you want to come back before you even leave.
