We wanted to have local cuisine experience and based on the numerous excellent reviews we decided to try Terry's Place.
To everyone's surprise it was the worst experience. The only good thing was the smile from the owner and the fact they only charged us for one salad and one wine in the end, without me having to argue for this. Thank you for that.
It started when we they offered us a water and I noticed my glass was dirty. The waitress quickly got another one. Then we ordered a wine and our food. Somehow, my wineglass again was dirty, and again the waitress got me a new one.
Then our food arrived. I wanted to try to local specialty, Hallumni chees. Tho the flavor was not bad, the substance squeeked like a rubber shoe between my teeth. I couldn't finish it.
We ordered stewed meat, which didnt taste fresh, but more like it was stored for a day or two in the fridge and then heated. The meat was extremely fat and after two or three bites we decided to leave it. We also ordered Mousaka, which was ready a bit too quickly and also didnt taste fresh but reheated, thus dried out vegetables and burned potato at one side. It was the best dish we had, so potentially at least we could have finished this one as the taste was good. Its hard to mess up potato and minced meat, but a long hair which honestly was not ours killed our appetite definitely. We decided to leave at that.
The owner seemed very surprised, and I don't know how they gotten so many good reviews. Maybe we got just really unlucky. It was a pity, I will not visit again. At least nobody got sick, and we didnt have to pay for what we didn't finish.
Just please, renew the torn tablecloths and keep the door to the smoking area closed, it would have been more stars...

Read moreWe were a group of six who arrived at Terry’s Place in Limassol. At first, things looked promising — we were seated right away. But from there, the experience went downhill quickly.
It took 15 minutes just to receive menus, and once we finally got them, we were completely ignored for the next 45 minutes. During that time, we watched the owner take orders and serve other tables — some who had arrived well after us.
When we politely asked if we could place an order, we were told that it would take even longer, and shockingly, the owner said that if we had a problem, we were welcome to leave.
We left hungry and frustrated. The complete lack of professionalism and respect for customers was unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for decent service or a pleasant...
