We went for lunch on a Wednesday and it was an hour before closing time so around 14:00; the restaurant was quite empty. We were really craving cypriot local cuisine ( we are cypriots but are living abroad for many years). The food offered is local food, like the food our grandma and aunts make at home so you really do get the local experience. We had fish served with purgouri(bulgur) and potatoes, octopus served with the same side dish and Ofto kleftiko ( lamb). It was delicious and had an authentic taste. We drank a soft drink each because that's how we always accompanied this type of food when we were little. The restaurant is quite warm in the summer because there is no air conditioning but there are fans on the ceiling. The restaurant looks like a typical local restaurant which sells homemade food. Both the lady who took our order and served our food and the older man who cooked the food were very polite and asked if everything is ok ; they even brought us papoutsosika ( cactus fig) for dessert. We will be coming back when visit...

Sadly, the food was disappointing: we ordered 3 meat dishes and all were completely dry and chewy. Seasoning was pretty bland and boring but we are not the judge if this is part of the local cuisine.
Worst part came 2 hours later as everyone of our group felt sick to our stomach and worse…Can’t be a coincidence!
Hopefully, this was a one time thing for the restaurant but based on the food, we would not recommend it! Service was very quick and friendly though and the location is amazing as you can sit outside in a very...

Koupepia with kolokasi is the dish I definetely want to try. Remember, this is a family-owened eatery, and it's been there since 1978. Obviously there is a long history here, too bad in Cyprus we don't appreciate good old things. I was hoping the new major and city council would be more sensitive and be more protective of establishments like these. And find a way to combine the old...
