I have been visiting this place for the past 4 years, and spent 2 of my birthday dinners there too. Unfortunately, the food has been pretty bad lately. To start off, do not order any seafood!!! We ordered the mix seafood pasta and the mussels along with the shrimp would just disintegrate into your mouth, very mushy and bad quality frozen seafood. The steak was for the second time a bad cut, making it difficult to cut it. The rest of the dishes were fine but it shows there’s no care in the food anymore. As for the atmosphere, it’s a bit uninviting. The waitress was fantastic, but unfortunately having one to care for a 20+ tables drives a person to their limits. The time schedule of the restaurant has been ridiculous as well. COOKSHOP being one of the most special restaurants in Nicosia, unless it has changed, it is a shame they have adopted these odd opening hours. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside! Simply wonderful! The chicken souvlaki was very tender and flavorful! The pork belly was just as enjoyable.
However, I’d like to offer some suggestions. Firstly, I missed having fresh fried potatoes and something like yogurt or plain tzatziki to accompany the meat. It’s clear that the ingredients are of very high quality, so they could make even better use of them to create amazing dishes. Additionally, I’d love to see them add a dessert option at the end.
