Ugh, last night's visit to Agapinor Restaurant wasn't what the reviews raved about. The place looked a bit dated, but clean at least. We got steak sets (T-bone and ribeye, both medium) While we waited, we got rock-hard bread and dry halloumi. Not the best sign. The ribeye? Not pink, not juicy. More like wrestling a tire - took forever to finish! T-bone was okay texture-wise, but flavor was just meh. Dessert saved some face - chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream was good, and the fresh orange juice hit the spot. The elderly staff was friendly. However, when I mentioned the chewy steak (I mean, they asked!), our waiter (another staff, a younger man) offered excuses galore. No apology, just a lecture. Didn't have time for that after that epic chew-fest. Skip this one, folks. Especially if you're a steak lover. Save your money and your jaw for a better meal elsewhere.

Omg.... if you like meat. This is he place. I'd already eaten steaks in 2 other places . But this place is a different league on sooooooo many levels.the quality of the steak..sensational...the size of the steak...unbelievable... the cooking was perfection and the price shockingly cheap. If you like steak you MUST MUST MUST eat here.. I'm scottish and love my tbone... this was the dogs bollocks.... If you want to waste money go elsewhere... but be warned

Have lived in Paphos for 8 years and this is one of the best t bones I have had here, cooked beautifully and we ordered garlic mushrooms and garlic sauce with the main, all delicious, we went early so no waiting, had our choice of seating, the service was excellent and the prices very reasonable, we will definitely be back for another steak, highly recommended 👀👍🥩👍🥩

I hate giving bad reviews but I have to. From other reviews it seems that they have good steak - maybe. For me it was unfortunately the worst meal I had in Cyprus. We went there spontaneously because we didn't want to walk too far away from our accomodation. We just wanted a light meal to crown our Cyprus experience on the last evening. We ordered a village salad and a "vegetarian platter" from the "traditional cyprus" section of the menu. I don't think this platter is traditional in any way - it just seemed they dumped on the plate every random non-meat thing. There were three spring rolls with some weird sauce (yes, spring rolls. Very traditional cyprus), some grilled zucchini and eggplant (zucchini was decent, eggplant so oily that inedible), some halloumi, zucchini fritters, soggy fries and some boiled veggies (which would be cyprus-style only if Cyprus was still under British rule). The village salad was completely drowned in a sea of oil (not even sure if it was olive oil) and vinegar (and no, not delicious and rich balsamic vinegar that I could expect in a village salad. Plain old white vinegar). The "vinaigrette" wasn't even emulsified enough so I could taste the oil and vinegar separately. Not good at all. The best part of this salad were a few good olives put there. And the best part of the meal was the pita bread they gave us, really delicious. Unfortunately together with the pita we received also small packages of packed "butter" (not real butter but some dupe with 60% fat) which I think explains perfectly what kind of kitchen this is. For the staff - I'm sure they are all lovely but also a bit unorganized and I don't like restaurants where the staff is constantly walking around between tables and watching my plate. Three different servers came to check on us but when we were sitting over half-eaten plates trying to fish out whatever was edible. But they didn't ask whether the food was ok, but whether we were finished so they can take our plates. Overall, a huge disappointment. Maybe the steak is good but it was a huge mistake to go there for...

I was contemplating writing this in the first place, but here we go, so maybe i can spare someone of that atrocious food.

We had two starters, the bruschetta with feta and the octopus. While those were alright (octopus was dry) the main courses were not.

We had the grillplatter and the chicken/shrimp. Vegetables were obviously bagged and frozen, and just saw some butter and salt. The fries weren't even cooked properly, way to pale and mushy/sticky inside.

The grillplatter consisting of -small steak (overcooked, dry, unsalted) -sheftalia (way to heavy on one of the spices, made everything taste bitter and off) -pork skewer (dry, tasteless) -lountza and halloumi (overly salty, halloumi was almost going bad) -chicken steak (overcooked, unsalted, no herbs or any other spices) -lamb chop (cooked until oblivion)

I have tried all of those single dishes at different restaurants and they can be fantastic. Afterwards, I went to pay and tell the waiter the food was absolutely off, they didn't take anything off the check, even though nothing got finished, everything was just started. Which, in my personal opinion, should be done when the food served is inedible.

The best part of this restaurant, in my eyes, was the one-eyed cat coming...

Sorry to burst the positive review bubble but have to be honest about my visit. Ordered a fillet steak medium cooked. I ate almost everything on the plate however, the steak was cooked as ordered pink, tough to cut which was worrying, tried to eat a piece that I managed cut off and found it very chewy which was very surprising considering it was suppose to be tender and tasty. I left the the steak almost untouched, but didn’t complain. The chef did come out to see me to find out what the problem was, unfortunately he didn’t seem to accept my answer but I did have to point out that as a customer I am entitled to express my own opinion on what I found and didn’t pay 21 euros to just leave it, bearing in mind I didn’t complain, I have never had a tough fillet steak in my life and I always ask for this dish because I really enjoy a good steak, it didn’t even taste like a normal fillet. That’s enough from me, but...
