We had been to this restaurant twice before and really enjoyed the food, so this time we brought our friends along, recommending it as a place that serves delicious meat.
There were 4 adults and 1 teenager in our group. As usual, we ordered drinks, a large portion of chicken wings, and the signature meat platter for two — since we remembered the portions were generous, and not everyone wanted a heavy meal.
When the food arrived and we asked for extra plates to share, the owner rushed over and, in an irritated tone, told us that the platter was meant for two people only. She said that since there were five of us, we should have ordered for five. She even added that she wouldn’t have accepted such an order at all.
It sounded so absurd that some of us thought she was joking. We had made a decent order with drinks, the restaurant wasn’t overcrowded, and honestly - how can anyone forbid sharing food? As you can imagine, the mood was completely ruined.
The food here really is tasty, but the restaurant’s policy has nothing to do with hospitality. After many years of living in Cyprus and traveling around the world, it was the first time I encountered a place where sharing dishes is forbidden (I’m not even sure that this policy is legal).
Of course, a private business can set its own, even absurd, rules - but in that case, they should at least inform guests in advance instead of being rude to them.
Perhaps this restaurant mainly targets one-time tourist visits and isn’t very interested in regular guests. That’s their right - and we’ll simply go to places where guests are actually welcome.
In any case, keep this in mind before visiting. The meat was really...

There were five of us. We ordered a meat platter for two, 12 wings, six large draft beers, and a lemonade. The waiter took the order without a single question. When we later asked about plates, the manager came over and, in a surprisingly aggressive tone, told us she wouldn’t accept the order because “sharing of platter for 2 is not allowed” and that we “eat for 10 euros each and it’s homemade food.”
Excuse me? Was that serious? If you have such rules, train your staff to inform customers before taking the order, not after.
When the bill arrived, I didn’t leave a tip and explained to the waiter that the food was excellent, as always, but the manager’s behavior was unacceptable, and that’s the only reason I couldn’t leave gratuity this time. Shortly after, the manager appeared again, this time in an even more aggressive manner, accusing me of “speaking inappropriately” to her staff. After a heated exchange, she eventually apologized and admitted that it was their mistake and that they should update their menu and staff training.
We appreciated the apology, but the impression remained. It’s worth understanding that this approach simply doesn’t work in Cyprus, and honestly, it doesn’t work in any restaurant in the world (maybe except America?). You’ve just lost returning customers. Great job 👍
And no, we’re not one-time tourists that just leave and never...
Read moreI came with a group of 8, called to book a table around 5pm and the earliest for such a large group was 9pm so I would advise calling and booking if you're a large group.
Very friendly staff for the most part, the staff member who took the payment came off a bit rude since we wanted to split the bill and that required calculating the cost of each pairing.
Service was super fast even with the amount of people in the group. The food was amazing. Across the group we had some of the sandwiches, some of the ribs, the pork belly, chicken wings and pulled pork. The chips and Mac and cheese are great.
The music choice was great and fit with the American theme. Great price especially when you get such large portions. The only people who managed to fully finish their meal were the people who got the sandwiches.
Would recommend to...
