Porky's Restaurant Cafe — Restaurant in Paralimni

Situated right in the middle of the strip this is a great place to have some light lunch like a hot dog, burger and chips or even an omelette and a cold beer however, most locals will tell you that the best thing Porkys offer is their deserts and ice cream and they wouldn't be wrong.

We holiday in Cyrpus every year, we eat at many of the fine restaurants but if we fancy a desert afterwards Porkys is the place we head for, it is actually one of the few places where you don't feel guilty walking in and asking for just the desert menu, they're quite used to it.

If you would prefer a light lunch then portion sizes are average, they have a childrens menu and the quality of food is very good. The staff are friendly but then it is hard to find an unfriendly Cypriot, they are always so polite.

They have toilets, they are clean and you wouldn't mind using them. This is an easy 5 star rating for me, the worst thing is trying to decide which of the lovely deserts you are going to try first, visit once and it won't...

Ate here this evening myself and my daughter had the chicken burger which was lovely but unfortunately my husband had the mixed grill, most of the meat was full of gristle and fat and not edible, the chicken was ok but that was fatty and had gristle.

When the waiter cleared our plates she asked if everything was ok and my husband said how disappointed he was with the mixed grill and she laughed. My husband said the meat was very fatty and she said she would tell the kitchen. When our bill came we were charged full price. We did ask if there was anything they could do as my husband hadn’t eaten much, as she walked away with our bill our empty beer glass got knocked over and smashed, my husband immediately apologised and the waitress said shall we call it evens now. Me and my girlfriend keep returning to this fantastic restaurant year after year.

This is our third year in Protaras and our third year enjoying the lovely Porky's restaurant. The venue has had some renovation done and looks lovely.

The staff is always great, very service minded. We never had to wait long for our food, even when its really busy.

The menu is varied and keeps a very high standard. Personal favorites for us are the pepperoni pizza and pork kebab. The best we have had! We also recommend the starters, desserts and certainly the drinks.

We tried to expand our horizons this year and try out different places, but porkys is still king...
