XENOPHOBI@ AT MUSIC LAB!!!!! Hello. Today I suffered the most unfortunate situation in Music Lab. I was just in the bar this night (05/02) with my beautiful friend who just passed her state exams. I went there to celebrate her. First of all: I always go to Music Lab - I am a Brazilian and international student. My other two friends were Slovak and my boyfriend is half slovak and mexican. The first problem: My bf was speaking the whole time in Slovak with the waitress and she insisted on speaking in English with him (which was VERY rude). Second: my slovak friends asked if they could put some songs and they said yes. She added 3 latin songs and the lady (same waitress) insisted in SKIPPING the songs. Which was so disrespectful, and she came to us saying that she didn’t understand the songs and being rude AGAIN. Until that point I was okay. I paid my bills and before I went home, I tried to TALK with her like a normal person (and client, very politely) and she started to SCREAM at me. Saying that: this was this was her F* BAR!!!!! “THIS IS MY F* BAR”. She said. My slovak friends came to defend me. That was the worse experience I ever had in BRNO. I tell this with the most pain in my heart bc Music Lab used the to be my safe space as an international student and immigrant. SHAME ON THIS LADY. She was using her hair really short and light blod Latinos friends, be careful to go there from now on. I can’t believe that the most safe space of the town in being runned by someone like this. Very funny that the only person she felt comfortable to be RUDE and SCREAM (I did nothing to her) was with an immigrant. Disappointed. Disrespectful. And honestly, the other two bartenders were AMAZING and even apologized to me. All the time they were so amazing and polite, this was not their fault. HOWEVER SHAME ON THIS LADY. This is not the policy of the...
Read moreOne of my favourite bars in Brno. The vibe is amazing and always interesting people coming to drink a beer. You might wonder, if it is one of my favourite bars, then why 3 starts rating? It is just simple, the increase of prices it is juts insane, it is a bar focused on music and technically a lot of students, but selling beer at Prague prices, it is just crazy. The people coming to the bar and the people working there made me set the rating on 3 stars, but if wasn't for that, I would move it to one, it is a busyness, and of course a profit it is the goal, but a beer, in Brno, 65kc or a shot of tequila 150 it...
Read moreThis was the bar I was looking for. Great place to chill to live music in an urban "beer gardenesque" atmosphere. During the summer they set up shop in front of the Music Academy, which serves as a stunning backdrop for the performers. Close to the #4 tram.
Logistics: Multiple beers on tap. Depending on the night some cover charges, but often by donation. Food available in addition to some nice looking...
