The breakfast of bread rolls left hanging in a plastic bag on the outside of your room door handle with sandwich spreads & meats that was left for you in the fridge due to the Dvořákova having no breakfast room for you to dine in was a little odd but it was still enjoyable to dine inside your room having your breakfast. The location for someone like me who has never been to Brno was just perfect. It was very easy to find your way back to the Dvořákova & you were literally next door or opposite a great bar (Který Neexistuje), a pub (Zelená Kočka Pivárium), a restaurant (U Třech Čertů), & a supermarket (Calivita) if you wanted to cook up a meal yourself. The WIFI worked very well. The bedding, tables, wardrobes, fridge, microwave oven, the tea/coffee making facility & the ensuite bathroom was all of a good quality standard. The receptionists when needed were helpful & made you feel welcome.||||I would have liked a television with some English speaking channels but there was no TV in the room. I could have done with a sharp kitchen knife for my breakfast bread rolls. A normal cutlery knife just doesn't slice up bread rolls very well. It should be made more clear when you book this place, the reception closes at 9pm! If you don't make prior arrangements with the receptionists before 9pm you will not be able to enter the Dvořákova because there is no one at the reception to let you in the...
Read moreI stayed at Pension Dvorakova just one night but I found it very cosy and I would go back. I was travelling alone and the location was perfect, I felt safe even in the evening and the pension was within reach of all major attractions of the city and of the train station. ||The man at the reception (sorry I do not know his name) was very kind and spoke a good English. I could leave my bag there after check-out and pick it up before leaving. ||My room was on the 4th floor and was equipped with a kitchen corner. It had a microwave, fridge, kettle and a coffee machine. Dish cleaner, a sponge and a drying cloth were provided, which I thought was a nice touch.||Breakfast supplies (butter, cheese, salami and a yogurt) were ready in the fridge and on a plate there were jam, honey, tea/infusion bags and an apple. Two bread loaves were left on my door at 7:30am. ||I would have loved to have one or two extra coffee pods, but I didn't even ask for them, so maybe I would have been given more.||My bed was very comfortable, with a firm mattress and a good pillow. I loved the large window sills and the light. Nice toiletries were provided, together with towels...
Read moreVery conveniently located, right in the middle of the city center, but still a somewhat quiet street. There are several restaurants, pubs, as well as a supermarket nearby. The neighborhood is not completely quiet, but still alright given the location. The breakfast was quite unconventional. Packaged coffee, cheese, ham, and salami were placed in the room's fridge. Each day, fresh bread rolls were hanged on our door. Everything was really good quality, and the bread rolls very fresh. The room was very basic, but we had all we needed for a short stay. The bed was also very comfortable. The room didn't have any curtains. The blinds are not enough to make the room dark at night. As for the breakfast items, there was only one package of coffee, butter, and cream cheese per person and day, that wasn't nearly enough. The shower cabin could use some updates, especially the shower holder that was broken and the shower had to be hand held while...
