Horrible! Avoid this place at all costs! Tried the food - amazing. BUT! The waiter men are horribly rude! We were here yesterday and came back today for the good food, we sat down, a guy brought the menu, 10 minutes passed and NO one even asked if we want to start with drinks, so when we were ready to order we tried to call the waiters, said hello/raised hand, but they were just passing by us without even saying “wait 5-10 minutes”. Is that so hard? So when the guy heard us he said angrily shouting “in our country you do NOT call the waiter, waiter comes to you, I do not know where you are from but in Czech Republic it is like that, we have 200 people here and do not have time”. And my friend thanked him specifically saying “thanks for explaining it POLITELY”. He said it is you who is impolite and ran away. We were thinking of leaving this place but decided to stay thinking he is probably too tired or smth. But he came back and started yelling at us again, concentrating on that we are foreigners and this is his country blah blah blah. But excuse me we are coming from EU as well. The whole time we were that quiet because we had a tiring day too that we just wanted the food. Overall he kept interrupting us and literally yelling. His name is Jasner. I wanted to speak to the manager. Asked 3 different employees. They did not let me see him, said they have no manager here and offered the email of his, and the bartender said he might be able to solve it maybe and offered to sit down offered us some shots/alcohol on the house. But we didnt take anything and said “we want to pay, we want to order, but the waiter’s behavior is unacceptable!!!!!!!!! Dear Manager, provide personnel training to your staff, teach basic human level politeness. This restaurant is in Old town. Regardless of anything, if the customer is being polite to you, you ought to be polite as well. I work in customer service too, and could not see neither myself nor my colleagues behave this way even after a...
Read moreWe had a dinner there. we ordered homemade chips and the fired cheese for starter which was amazingly delicious! Also, we ordered Pork shank, kids menu (fired chicken breast with fires) and a local dish (pork meat, bread and a nice sauce). Both kid's menu and local dish was good. But the pork shank was the worse experience I had. The meat was either old or kept in the freezer for ages... it was deeply fried and it was impossible to eat either the skin or the meat. I ate tons of pork shank in Poland and Czech and I know what a good shank looks like and this one was definitely not a good one. I don't recommend the pork shank at all. I didn't touch my food and the waiter (which was a nice young girl) noted it. She asked and I explained her. It seemed to me that she was agreeing with me by judging the look of the meet, but I received no arrangement from manager, and I had to pay for the whole meal (which I didn't argue about as I was with my family) but it was really disappointing... Overall, I recommend the restaurant, but you need to be careful with what you choose. my take, Pork shank (which is quite pricy too) is a no go!
I give 3 star to food because beside the pork shank, the rest was okay. I give 3 star service, because the management didn't care to come and say at least sorry for the bad food. I give 5 star to atmosphere because it was really nice and waiters...

My fiancée and I got to have dinner at this traditional Czech restaurant a few days ago. Unfortunately the place didn't live up to expectations; to say the least. The food was OK; traditional Czech cuisine is on the horizon. Good. That's the service in the restaurant that left a lot to be desired: No one speaks English... I mean it... it is nearly impossible to communicate or to make a complaint about anything. Still water was ordered, sparkling water arrived. Complaining was completely useless due to their lack of command of English. Our main courses were brought out a few minutes after our starters / beer snacks were served. The waitress realized the issue and took the main courses back. We had to wait a long time before our main courses were served again, a second time. We decided not to leave a tip (considering the above) and my fiancée touched the 0% tip button on the waiter's terminal. The male waiter (bald, lots of tattoes) then got extremely furious and rude; he pushed my fiancée's hand aggressively off the terminal!! We got shocked! Then, he didn't even say goodbye, he just stormed off as soon as the payment was made! Is this service in your book? Really? We were extremely...
