BAGEL Lounge — Restaurant in okres Karlovy Vary

Where to start. The first is that I visited this restaurant in April 2022 and at that point left a review about the very poor service we received. Kindly the restaurant reached out to us to invite us back which was really pleasant to hear, but we did not take them up on there offer. So let's move to Sept 2022.

Firstly, I visited the establishment for some take out food and overall the food was amazing. I have have to call out the vegan burger, it was the best I have ever had.

Returning with my family and friends the following day was when again the service and experience fell apart, along this time with food.

The Ukrainian pancakes (which after some research I do not know what the restaurant was offering) which were not cooked at all correctly, and the 3 dishes could not be eaten (we still had to pay)

Then when coming to paying in euro's, the restaurant would only offer a low exchange rate vs all the other competition and shops in Karloy Vary. The response of "we are not an exchange" is not what I would expect. For a 100 euro bill we lost money, not welcoming to the eurozone consumers.

Unfortunately Bagel Lounge could be a world class location and concept, but it fails on so many occasions with poor service and in this case, poor food. I would ask the management to please understand customer service, it is missing and this final step would take them into something incredible as I can see...

We went there on a Sunday morning 9:30h. Although there were already a lot of guests, we immediately got a table. The service personnel does a great job!The service lady immediately brought us the menu. She was very friendly and spoke English very well. Our order was processed very fast: we had ordered black tea, cappuccino, breakfast Benedict, breakfast Avocado & Eggs and bagel Classic. Everything looked fine. I only have to remark on the bagels: this breakfast place is called "Bagel Lounge", thus I expected the culinary focus to be on the "bagel" and thought they feature a variety of different bagels of high quality. Regarding the quality of the bagels I was pretty much disappointed: they only have a single type of bagel, and these bagels are - sorry to say - of low quality, with a taste of nothing and with a rather matzy texture. Consequently I neither can recommend the bagel Classic: this is a bagel with a whole lot too much cream cheese - neither the bagel nor the neutral cream cheese has any taste. However, the beverages and breakfast Benedict and breakfast Avocado & Eggs were fine - except, as I said, the bagels' taste. Will start with the good - the service is great. The staff is very nice and friendly, the kitchen is very fast, the prices are ok. The place design is fun. The food is horrible. We got 2 bagels a ceasar and salmon. Both so dry it wasn’t easy to chew, the bread was stale. There was maybe 1 table spoon cream cheese, again very dry. I will reiterate once more - the bagels are so dry we had to take a break from chewing them. Its just not good. Caesar bagel had a tomato inside, and salmon one had mozzarella sticks - both very questionable culinary choice and did not taste good. The coleslaw is criminally bad. Big chunks on cabbage with mayonnaise. That’s it. No carrot, no mustard, no vinegar, no sugar, no SALT even. Just raw cabbage and mayo. Who would ever enjoy that?? The drinks weren’t successful either. The latte was served with a fly in a milk foam. How can you not see that and how can you bring that to a customer?
