Against The Current — Restaurant in Prague

We've been there for brunch on Saturday in August. We had no booked table but didn't have a problem finding a table for two.

First of all, the atmosphere was great. I didn't expect to listen AC/DC while having my brunch before coming here 😅 It was a nice surprise.

The interior is spacious and gets a lot of light. The walls are also painted white. I really liked how they wired the lights through the walls that looked like just decor. In short, the place wakes you up and fills you with energy to wander around Prague all day long 🚶‍♂️

For brunch, we had omlette with ratatouille and a chicken sandwich. The sandwich was not really a sandwich because it was served like a dish in a plate 😅 Both were really tasty. On top, we also had a waffle as a desert, and i would highly recommend it. It was just right, not too sweet, not plain, just right. I can't complain anything about food.

We also ordered tea instead of coffee. Because we already had another place for coffee in mind. Tea comes in a teapot. You can have 3 cups of tea from a single pot. More than enough 🫖

The prices were all normal. Nothing was expensive. Every penny is well deserved. We paid around 30€ including tip.

Long story short, i would highly recommend it. If you stay near Karlin district, you can come here with no doubts in mind for breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee, desert,...

This an excellent little bistro. The interior is very good and the music helps to create a good atmosphere to enjoy your food and drink. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the owner is also very pleasant and clearly passionate about his business. The meal of the day is different each day and made fresh, I enjoyed the pasta dish, which was perfect. The homemade lemonades are also a refreshing drink in the Prague summer heat, I particularly enjoyed the lavender and blueberry lemonade. The duck pate is also excellent with home made bread. Moreover, the prices are very fair. I paid 398ckr (about £14) for three drinks, duck pate and the excellent pasta dish! I wish I could visit here again, but unfortunately my schedule doesn't work!

However, next time in Prague I would definitely come here again and I will recommend it to my friends and...

The place is great. Amazing vibe. Really clean and minimalistic. It reminded us of the Danish design from back home.

The staff was nice and attentive.

We ordered the ratatouille omelette and the fried eggs and everything was perfect. Really well crafted. What surprised us was the fact that we got our food so fast. Less than five minutes from when we ordered. That is very impressive.

However. The highlight was the waffle. It was the best combination of flavors and textures we experienced in a dessert. Totally recommend it.

Unfortunately, the drinks were all quite bad. But we were there for the food and that did the job.
