I'm giving it a mixed review, because my experiences are mixed.
I have had both some amazing food (Korean Beef Stew two summers ago, i came back for it 3 times) and English Breakfast (twice), but also some extremely salty food (pork belly last week - although otherwise tasty dish) and bland (a turket samdwich a while ago).
I've also had very friendly staff and quite rude staff. They also keep changing the menu, even the drinks, which puts me off a bit. It's good that they change the food with the season, but it would be nice to have more stability with some guest favourites, especially when the quality is sometimes random.
They had a great Chai Latte for a few years and last time I went (last week) they didn't have it on the menu anymore, and the waiter was kind of rude about it (since I ordered it without looking at the menu first - which I did because I had ordered it several times before just perhaps 6 or so months prior). I didn't like that experience, not just because they didn't have it, but because the waiter was kind of snarky and impolite.
Idk, this place is very famous, but I feel like in the past 2 years or so, it's not living up to its...
Read moreA friend of mine recommended and raved about how it is the best coffee in Prague. So by luck I was exploring Old Town in the morning and made the trek over to this hip cafe for a midday pick me up. My friend was right about the coffee. I ordered an Americano with no milk and realized I should had ordered the tasting flight because the coffee had this wonderful soothing aroma with a nice bold kick after each sip. I do appreciate the warm glass of water with the coffee. I hope one day American coffee shops would adopt this European practice. It just enhances the coffee experience. For a midday/post lunch service, the place was buzzing which was a surprise to my eyes because I was secretly hoping for some quiet time for me being a tourists amongst tourists all over the world. As busy as it was, the staff was friendly, welcoming and patient while moving around quickly between tables. I was quite entertained watching customers waving for attention to service. It was nice to relax and enjoy...

I came on Friday at 11am for a breakfast with my little son. As always, asked a waitress where can we sit. Despite the fact, that there was a free table, we were sat at the long shared table next to the open entrance door (and it’s winter). I asked if we can better sit at the separate table and the answer was “no, because it’s a table for 4, and there are only 2 of you”.
When we were leaving I saw that the table for 4 was occupied by one person.
I asked the waitress how this happened, and the answer was “That woman didn’t ask” and then “Because you’re with a stroller, and we don’t allow strollers at that part, it’s a rule from our management”.
So the question is, next time, when I want to eat together with my son, should I better go to other place, because the management of “Muj salek kavy” only allow moms with strollers to sit at a shared table, or was it a mistake...
