I'm giving it a mixed review, because my experiences are mixed.

I have had both some amazing food (Korean Beef Stew two summers ago, i came back for it 3 times) and English Breakfast (twice), but also some extremely salty food (pork belly last week - although otherwise tasty dish) and bland (a turket samdwich a while ago).

I've also had very friendly staff and quite rude staff. They also keep changing the menu, even the drinks, which puts me off a bit. It's good that they change the food with the season, but it would be nice to have more stability with some guest favourites, especially when the quality is sometimes random.

They had a great Chai Latte for a few years and last time I went (last week) they didn't have it on the menu anymore, and the waiter was kind of rude about it (since I ordered it without looking at the menu first - which I did because I had ordered it several times before just perhaps 6 or so months prior). I didn't like that experience, not just because they didn't have it, but because the waiter was kind of snarky and impolite.

Idk, this place is very famous, but I feel like in the past 2 years or so, it's not living up to its...

A friend of mine recommended and raved about how it is the best coffee in Prague. So by luck I was exploring Old Town in the morning and made the trek over to this hip cafe for a midday pick me up. My friend was right about the coffee. I ordered an Americano with no milk and realized I should had ordered the tasting flight because the coffee had this wonderful soothing aroma with a nice bold kick after each sip. I do appreciate the warm glass of water with the coffee. I hope one day American coffee shops would adopt this European practice. It just enhances the coffee experience. For a midday/post lunch service, the place was buzzing which was a surprise to my eyes because I was secretly hoping for some quiet time for me being a tourists amongst tourists all over the world. As busy as it was, the staff was friendly, welcoming and patient while moving around quickly between tables. I was quite entertained watching customers waving for attention to service. It was nice to relax and enjoy...

Updating my review in hope that my next visit will be better.

I came on Friday at 11am for a breakfast with my little son. As always, asked a waitress where can we sit. Despite the fact, that there was a free table, we were sat at the long shared table next to the open entrance door (and it’s winter). I asked if we can better sit at the separate table and the answer was “no, because it’s a table for 4, and there are only 2 of you”.

When we were leaving I saw that the table for 4 was occupied by one person.

I asked the waitress how this happened, and the answer was “That woman didn’t ask” and then “Because you’re with a stroller, and we don’t allow strollers at that part, it’s a rule from our management”.

So the question is, next time, when I want to eat together with my son, should I better go to other place, because the management of “Muj salek kavy” only allow moms with strollers to sit at a shared table, or was it a mistake...

There is no better time to visit Prague than late spring, when the weather is at its best and the prices are still relatively low compared to the summer months and holidays. Here's a couple of recommendations on what to do and where to stay 💛 ✨treat yourself with a stay at @fsprague for the best views of the city ✨visit Prague castle, Charles bridge, Letná park, National museum, Petřín Hill & gardens, Astronomical clock tower, St Nicholas church ✨eat at Food&Mood, Restaurace u Mlynare, Restaurace Stoleti, Tiskarna, Mincovna ✨the best coffee at Ema, Muj salek kavy, Alchymista, Prazirna, Misto, The Flat cafe #visitprague #visitczechia #praguecity

A pleasant interior, good seating and internet for work and accommodating stuff. I didn't fully enjoy coffee, however. I mean the taste was good as expected but the results looked pretty only for a minute. For someone who likes to enjoy not only the coffee taste but also a nice latte art and soft microfoam texture it's very disappointing to get a flat white where all the foam disappears in a few minutes due to an "error" in the process. It's a natural behavior of coffee to release CO2 but then I wouldn't serve it until the degassing process is almost over. The stuff claimed that the beans were roasted 2-3 weeks back and the milk is full fat so it shouldn't produce this result. Maybe just give it a try in the morning when you dial in your recipes and have an alternative producing results with stable foam.

Honestly, a very chill and calm place to sit in Karlín, with a long-standing reputation and really kind service. But that’s not everything. Let’s say the coffee is very good quality and nicely prepared, I also tried the Turkish eggs. If I compare the price, taste, and preparation, it’s not that great. The eggs don’t have a runny yolk, the seasoning is okay, and the yogurt is fine. The brioche, though, wasn’t anything special, I’d much rather have a good slice of buttered bread. Considering the dish costs over 200 CZK and the main task is to cook decent eggs (which isn’t exactly rocket science), it’s just not worth it. It’s a pity, sending greetings to the kitchen, hoping they’ll put a bit more effort into it next time. I probably won’t order food there again, but the espresso tonic was just fine.
