Okay, this is going to be a long winded, because as a Quebecois, I've eaten enough poutines to know what makes a good one. In no way do I consider myself an expert, and there are enough variations in Quebec alone, and there's no accounting for taste, but I can break down the pout' offered here, and you can make your own decisions. 1-fries : they appeared freshly made (cut in house), and were just crispy and greasy enough. This ingredient is usually the easy one, and it gets a perfect grade from me! 2-cheese : this is often where things go wrong. But not here! It's fresh cheese curds, so they've obviously done their homework, it's the real McCoy. If it's shredded cheese or cheese sauce, it's disco fries, not poutine. 3-sauce : this is where poutine enthousiests argue the most. The gravy here is pretty thick, and a dark brown. It kinda reminds me of the sauce at Lafleur. However, it kinda lacked a little flavour. It needed a little more zing, some spice and acidity. It wasn't the worst sauce I've ever had on a poutine, but it's the only part of the poutine at Garage that could use improvement. Overall, I enjoyed this little taste of...

The poutine is daaaaamn good. Prices are very reasonable, portions are very large and the pulled beef is on point. The ice tea was a bit too sugary and not icey enough, though still good prices.
Unfortunately, the service is as bad as the food is good. We came 30 minutes before closing, ordered and sat down in the very limited seating available to have our food, only to be told we "need to leave" 10 minutes into eating, even though they were still serving new customers as they came. Unlike every other business out there, instead of waiting for their customers to be done and not accepting new ones until then, they seem to have the idea that its acceptable to kick out paying customers, which makes for an incredibly unpleasant experience. They do not accept card.
Overall, would recommend if you want to grab something to eat while walking. They (currently) do not deliver which might have been the one good thing about their absurd working hours. It just seems that the owners do not care enough to put the necessary hours into making a...
Read moreMediocre food, irritating staff. Worst poutine in Prague.
Greeted by a cardboard stand-up mountie, like those super-mario pizza bakers in front of absolutely originally Italian pizza places. Not a good first impression.
Wanted my gravy separately packed so the fries don't get soggy by the time I'm home (everything to-go in Corona times), they didn't care - I even wanted to pay for the extra box. Just disinterest and irritation, very un-canadian.
Then, at home, soggy fries buried at the bottom of the box under generous amounts of pulled meat, drowned in gravy. Which would've been good if the meat or gravy had any flavor in it. But they didn't. Cheese nice and stringy, so you get two stars.
Cash payment only for unknown reasons, prices too high for the delivered quality.
Here's some advice: If your customer asks a tiny thing from you, and even offers covering the cost, do it. And do it with a smile. Don't act as if you don't care, even if you don't. Your food isn't good enough for that kind of arrogance....
