San Carlo Karlín — Restaurant in Prague

I went today with my girlfriend to have a nice dinner, still we were totally open to just pick up some pizzas and eat at home. The first gentleman that received us, was very kind and explained that they were fully booked so we asked if we could take some pizzas which was ok and we waited only 7 min so it was fast. Unfortunately a different person took the order and it seemed like he was doing us a favour. At the end when he gave me the pizzas I asked if we could also take 1 tiramisu. The reply was it takes 15min (good to mention that this was all talked at the entrance where he came with the pizzas and the pin terminal) and it honestly seemed he just wanted us to leave and pay for the pizzas and that going inside again to get 1 tiramisu was too much for him. I worked in hospitality for 8 years and I never saw a tiramisu being done in 15 min, obviously you do a big tray and serve portions, you dont do 1 individual tiramisu. So the experience at the end was ruined because of this person’s attitude. Nice atmosphere, food was ok (bear in mind if you want to order a tiramisu, maybe do it at the beginning since they take 15min to do one especially for you), service was really not friendly (with the exception of the first person that...

Me and my boyfriend went to this restaurant for dinner. The food was very good and everything went quite well until we asked for the bill. The man I assume who was the manager, talked very badly once we didn’t want to leave a tip. Me and my boyfriend are both students and wanted to have a date-night out. The man acted so badly to my boyfriend and humiliated him in front of me and employees even after he said he’a a student and not financially available today. The whole experience was awful, this service and behaviour cannot be acceptable anywhere. How dare a restaurant employee can talk to a customer like this?! If I cannot afford to leave a tip, I won’t. Me personally worked as a waitress in multiple restaurants and never humiliate or said such things to anyone. There are better places for a nice Italian experience, don’t bother going to this...

We didn’t stay to eat as, since the moment we entered, we were treated badly by the host. It was past 3pm on a Sunday, and we didn’t have a reservation, but there were many empty tables. He said in a rude way, almost like angry at us, that we had to go because we didn’t have a reservation and they were fully booked. When we were leaving, I could see a waitress talking to him that we could possibly use a table but he clearly said no, I think he also had a problem that we went with our toddler and we had a stroller.
