Alambre — Restaurant in Prague

I must say I’m extremely picky when it comes to Mexican food, especially in Europe. That’s why I’m even more excited to say how great this restaurant is. I came in during lunch because we were in the area, and it looked like a good deal. I had zero expectations.

First, the service was absolutely lovely the whole time. Our server was friendly and helpful.

Then I had their tortilla soup, and it absolutely blew my mind. The mix of textures, the cilantro infusion… I really didn’t know if this would work, but it really did.

Next, I had their chicken burrito bowl (it had a different name, but I don’t remember right now). they brought an assortment of hot sauce to the table and they all were great. Super well seasoned food, and the hot sauce sealed the deal.

The lunch was just perfect overall. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Looking forward to...

This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant, but since they expanded, the prices have increased by 70–80 CZK on average for the same portion sizes. It’s still more of a fast-food spot than a proper restaurant, and the pricing should reflect that. Because of this, I’ll be ordering from here much less often.

Additionally, they’ve stopped wrapping burritos in aluminum foil and now serve them in a box, which makes them fall apart while eating.

I don’t know whether there have been changes in management, but it seems like it’s becoming more about money, and they’re trying to make the place feel more upscale for no real reason. We were surprised to know they don’t accept cards , I see their business is mainly for delivery.. anyhow we had some cash and manage to get our tacos . We tried birria de res & pollo and pastor. Believe when I say I have tried many tacos in Prague and this are one of the best..Pastor with cheese was glorious. The meat is juicy and really well seasoned. The place is quite small so don’t expect to go there and sit for long . Service was kind !

My only comment would be to have a spicier sauce for clients that like their tacos more spicy. Other than I definitely recommend this place and for sure will...
