My partner and I,were exploring Prague , wondering around the tiny whimsical streets of this amazing town. On one sunny day like that we discovered this little "cute fish place" hidden from the touristic eye.We have decided to come inside and see what the place had to offer. The fish looked fresh and the smells were tempting. So my partner asked the employee wether he knows if they would have any available places for us to sit anytime soon - as a response he received some "savage like" hand jesture, signifying that the employee didn't care much about placing his customers, the man just turned around and continued chopping the fish like my partner didn't exist. No apology , no greeting, no goodbye.I decided to leave this place immediately since I have zero tolerance to rudeness and unprofessionalism. On the next day we decided to give it another go. Big mistake. Both of the male employees acted very dismissive and rude. Their attitude was as if I wasn't the customer, but someone that owes them a big amount of money and never payed them back.I made and order and asked a simple question of wether he thinks the portion would be enough for two people.. Apparently he found this question to be very hard to answer as if I asked something about building rockets and sending them to space. I lost my temper and I told him that we want to cancel our order but since he already brought us wine we would pay for the wine ( Even though we were not even in the mood to stay there a minute longer. We just wanted to leave). He said that it wasn't possible to cancel the order because and I quote " I have already chopped a piece of tuna". Last time I checked that wasn't a good enough reason for denying my right to immediately cancel my order. So we were forced to stay ... The food came . It was tasty and fresh- just like we thought it would be. But there was no pleasure in eating it. We had our meal , stood up and left. None of the employees even said "goodbye" to us.As if we werent even there .I am normally not the type of person to write the reviews like this however , I did feel obligated to share this experience with the future potential visitors. The prices of the place are pretty high, so you would expect at the very least a human like treatment.Perhaps they were homophobic...
Read moreOur only bad experience in Prague! We went for an afternoon snack and ordered the Rocket Salad with Octopus and Rocket Salad with Salmon, and two glasses of wine. The menu was in Czeck and English. The food was very good. But when we got our bill, it seemed far too high. We asked for the detailed bill and there were three extra line items on it, with about $40USD of extra charges. They told us that they added extra fish to each of our salads, so they charged us the price for the salads PLUS the price of an extra octopus and salmon entree. We argued for 5 minutes that we didn’t order the extra fish. We ordered what was on the menu, and didn’t ask for the extra fish on our salads. They came back with revised bills two more times, each time with extra charges on it. They finally removed the charges for the “extra fish”. One final charge of $6 USD was “an added charge of $3 per person for them to cook the food for us”. Who charges extra for cooking our food at a restaurant??? We finally paid this extra cooking charge, and left without tipping. Bottom line was the food was very good, but they completely tried to scam us because we didn’t speak Czech. Strongly advise against going here if you can’t...
Read moreIn addition to not having many options and bad air conditioning, this place is not family friendly. While waiting for someone to attend us, my little daughter touched the glass. At that moment, the restaurant manager instead of welcoming us and getting our order, stared at my daughter, impolitely with a rude face, and told her not to touch the glass. He also bullied her by comparing the cooler glass to her eye glasses by saying “I take care of my glass the same way you take care of your eye glasses”!!! My girl was freaked out. No respectful person would do that to an adult customer, rather than a kid!! I promptly decided to leave the restaurant along with my family. I also spoke to him that this is not a right way to deal with customers and kids. He insisted on importance of not having finger prints in his glass and didn’t even apologize. Obviously, losing customers is much easier for this guy than regularly wiping the glass of a fish cooler. In fact, my girl hands were clean and left no prints on that glass, she had to wash her hands a few times with soap after touching that glass!
Attitude is first when dealing with customers, the thing this place...
