Café Buddha — Restaurant in Prague

Offering pick up when the service does not really work. Not for the first time I ordered from this place, but this time I decided not to use any intermediaries like Wolt, but order directly from the website of the restaurant. However, the experience was beyond disappointing. For one the system was not able to recognise a pick up in person, since I was getting all these messages about the my order being delivered. But the most annoying was that I never got a message or a call that the food was ready for pick up, only that it is almost ready and to be delivered, so I had to ask them about the order after I waited for some time. Funnily the restaurant did not think this was a problem and I did not even hear an apology, but all these excuses why it does not work. When it comes to food, I was surprised to see that the portions of fish were much smaller. Additionally, cucumbers seem to fit into everything and are considered a seasonal vegetable (not the right season for them). Given the price paid, it is rather disappointing, as are the missing allergens and proper ingredients for many...

We had a great experience here. Food is delicious, prices reasonable and staff very nice. Honestly maybe the best asian fusion restaurant with such a gentle atmosphere, nothing fancy nor “high society” feeling, but still nice, elegant place. Even when the restaurant was very busy in its peak in the evening hours, the waitress was very kind, still smiling and expressed great hospitality. I enjoyed tastes in every meal - from dim sum through various starters (try summer rolls) and main dishes to desserts - everything is created with high sense of perfect taste, the combinations are unbelievable and final feeling from the taste unexpected in a good way - big compliment to the kitchen. And you feel like “what have I eaten till now” :) I highly recommend to go there in small group of people so you can taste several starters and share them. I brought some friends to try this place that used to be one of my favourites in Prague. Due to a terrible service, it was an unpleasant experience from the moment we entered the place until we left. When I booked I was not informed that the kitchen would have been closed already at 9 p.m. and that the menu was reduced. The waiter is been rushy for the entire duration of the dinner, and had the elegance of blaming me for not asking about specific card payment before he emitted the bill. At 9.15, while we were still finishing our food, the staff started cleaning, clearly eager to close and go home as soon as possible.
