A Little Hidden Gem in Prague!

My American husband, a German couple who are our friends and I had a wonderful experience at this steak restaurant, La Vie Bistro Beef Shop, in Prague just two nights ago. The food was excellent, but what made it truly special was the hospitality of the owner Jarin, his wife Kateřina, and who we think is their daughter Nikola. They were fully booked and had no tables available, but instead of turning us away, they kindly made space for us in the kitchen. They set up a proper table there, and thanks to their care and effort, it still felt cozy and welcoming.

The steaks, six month aged Tomahawk and T-Bone, were cooked to perfection, paired beautifully with a lovely red wine (I believe it was a Bordeaux). The souces, the vegetables and roasted potatoes side dishes complemented the meal perfectly and were full of flavor. To finish, we had a dessert that was like a fluffy pancake — I don’t even know its name, but it was absolutely delicious and the perfect ending to the meal.

The service was warm and personal throughout, and it truly felt like being invited into a family home for dinner. We deeply appreciate their kindness and dedication, and we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Prague.

Oh wow. Where to begin? Absolute outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff are absolute professionals. Friendly and accommodating, took the time to discuss their background and meats. Head Chef was absolutely hilarious whilst graciously taking us through their different sauces (their homemade beef and mushroom sauces were my favourites!). Let us have a taster of each to choose. Then he took us to discuss the different types of aged Tomahawks available. We chose the Tomahawk that was aged the longest (a treat for my partner on his birthday). We chose a Czech white wine - beautiful! The starter was gorgeous pulled-beef. The showstopper was of course the Tomahawk. Veggies were incredible. But the steak. Oh gosh. I have never eaten anything more exquisite. And I say this as someone who indulged in Japan! The texture and flavour were OUT OF THIS WORLD. I 100% recommend Le Vie. You will not be disappointed. In fact, you'll wonder why you hadn't been there any sooner. Best steak I've ever had, and I'll no doubt be comparing every steak to this for the rest of my life. I ordered the vegetable salad with beef but they brought me the wrong order, I got only the salad with fruit and it really was not good, just green salad with big slices of fruit and veggies, no special flavor. When I said that I got the wrong order they just brought me a plate with a few pieces of beef, which were ok but nothing really belonged together. And they still charged me the full price

I can’t reply to the reply so I will add a comment here: I am fluent in English, maybe we said some comments in our language because we did not want to be impolite, but I did not make any mistake, when we talked I agreed that there might have been a misunderstanding, as if you did not hear I ordered the salad with beef, not just salad with fruit. After you brought me the meat, I ate as much as I could, it just was not something I enjoyed.
