Hostel One Míru was definitely a stand out hostel on my backpacking trip. One the the friendliest and cleanest hostels I had the pleasure of staying in. Originally I was only supposed to stay one night here, but ended up extending for about 5 days due to the comfortability, cleanliness, and great vibes. The staff at Hostel One Míru is top notch and always planned something fun and welcoming. They all seemed to really enjoy their job and just wanted to have a good time like the rest of us. The hostel itself is pretty small, but has all the facilities one would expect including a kitchen and even a laundry service (although it was expensive). You are required to take off your shoes at the lobby entrance before walking around the hostel, but that’s certainly not a problem (and actually appreciated) because they do keep a very clean house and it never feels like your walking around in an unclean environment. And the rooms are nice as well. Pretty spacious with your own locker and privacy curtains on all the racks which is always a nice touch. The location was good, not in the city center, but certainly not a far journey to anywhere you wanted to go in Prague whether by walking or public transport. But what truly makes this place stand out is the staff and the other hostel goers. Everyone there was nice, warm, full of recommendations, and genuinely just wanted to have a good time with everyone else. 10/10 would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a place to stay in this...
Read more100% would recommend this hostel to anyone! from the moment you walk in, you are made to feel like part of a family. the staff and volunteers are super friendly. There are activities each evening put on the volunteers, sometimes there is free dinner. Always followed by some socializing with drinking games or just regular games. I stayed in a 10 bed dorm but there was ALOT ALOT of space not not feel cramped and socialize with the person in the other beds. There are nice big windows for plenty of natural light in the room. I need to mention that the downstairs bathroom and showers were spectacularly spotless and immaculate, I think the cleaner lady with red hair is doing a superb job and that she cares about her job. There is a very nice small common room where you can hang out, play video games, get some time alone, etc. The hostel has its own fridge where you can purchase beverages and beers. One notable mention is a volunteer named Taylor, she "tailored" my hair for the night out, she was so good that I thought she was a hair dresser lol. She is also very hardworking at her job, cleaning , making sure everybody gets to the bars safely and back home safely. the location is within 15 minute walking distance to old town. all in all, i would highly recommend this hostel! There is also a Whatsapp group to be shared with other One Fam personnel so you can coordinate and communicate with others. I originally planned 1 night in Prague and ended up...
Read moreLovely hostel in a beautiful neighbourhood of Prague, 30 minute walk or 10 minute tram ride away from the city centre. Despite the distance from everything I always felt safe even at night when getting back to the hostel.
I absolutely loved my stay here - the staff were all extremely kind, and joined in on the fun while making me feel very comfortable and safe on my first solo trip. The family dinners were a big plus and a great way to meet people at this hostel and one of the other Onefam locations (Arbes). They also arranged some daytime tours of Prague and party locations at night (bars, clubs, excellent karaoke nights).
Everyone was very social, but the party pretty much entirely left the hostel around 10 (even earlier on weekends). When I stayed in, I didn't have any problems with noise in the evening. I would suggest earplugs in case of snorers though!
The hostel was clean and cozy, with full privacy curtains on all the beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and nice private bathrooms. I stayed during the off-season and it never felt crowded.
Make sure you bring about 20 euro/dollars/pounds or 500 CZK cash for a key deposit - they kindly accepted my student ID as a deposit instead since I was having difficulties getting cash, but it would have been easier had I brought some. Additionally, though Prague is quite a card-friendly city, some of the nights out that the hostel hosts also require a cash cover charge in...
