This place gave me mixed feelings. On the one hand, the waitress was really nice and I can't complain about the service. However, the food was in my opinion terrible. Feeling a little homesick I decided to go for a Full English breakfast. What I received was nothing close to it. Instead of bacon I received spanish dried ham (Jamon Serrano), which I usually love to have but it definitely doesnt belong in a full english. Absolutely ruined the whole overall taste. Next, there was no toast but soft bread.... again not very 'English'. The baked beans were mid and there was barely any tomato sauce with them. And half of the plate was filled up with some kind of old salad that yet again doesnt belong in a Full English breakfast. The price was also astronomical for what I received, compared to other places in Prague... plus this isnt even the centre... Sorry but I dont think I can give more...
Read moreI visited at 11am on a Sunday and it wasn't busy, found it easy to get a table. The interior decoration is simple but really nice. There's a nice big window that some of the tables are positioned next to. I ate the banana pancakes and the flat white was really good. I didn't have any of the cakes, but there was a great selection available and they looked pretty fresh and tasty, especially the blueberry pie. Read morePhill’s corner was closed today for a private party and the closing sign suggested to check Twenty7 by Phill, so that is what I did :-). The place is smaller and a bot more sober equipped but it is stylish, has great coffee, tea and some solid meals on the menu. Also great for breakfast!
