Hamburg — Restaurant in Prague

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. I simply said "hello" and was about to ask for a beer, but before I could even finish my sentence, the waitress cut me off and sharply told me to "sit down." There was no chance to explain or even make a basic request.

The attitude was unnecessarily aggressive and made me feel very unwelcome. It left the impression that asking anything further might lead to an argument.

I understand that people can have bad days, but taking it out on customers is not acceptable—especially in hospitality. If someone is that unhappy in their role, it’s fair to question why management keeps them in front-facing positions.

Initially, I thought maybe it was just me, but after reading other reviews, it seems this kind of service has happened to others too. I'm leaving this comment so future customers know...

I was in Prague for 5 days staying at the Plus Prague hotel. While staying there we stumbled upon this heaven on earth spot and figuratively haunted the place. In the 5 days we ate there 3 times. We convicted our friends from the hostel to eat there 3 times. If we were here longer we would eat there more. We of course ate at places that cost 10 times as much and had a view of the old town. But in the end, the best meal we had and the best prices and the biggest smiles on our faces came from this restaurant. Cuba was our waiter or, that's at least what we think his name was and he's fantastic. Helped us each and everything. If he's ever in NY/NJ area and needs friends, I would be that guys friend. В этот ресторан мы зашли случайно — увидели, что внутри много людей, а отзывы были в целом неплохие. Мы не искали специально чешскую кухню, просто хотели вкусно поесть. Зайдя внутрь, мы взяли меню и отправились на летнюю террасу. К сожалению, она нас немного разочаровала — на каждом столе стояли пепельницы, и многие гости курили. Для нас это было неприятно: есть и одновременно вдыхать сигаретный дым — сомнительное удовольствие. Дополнительно напрягла ситуация с собакой у соседнего столика. Это был большой пёс, вёл себя неадекватно, явно напрягался, когда мимо проходили люди. Персонал никак не реагировал, хотя сам обслуживающий официант двигался с осторожностью. Даже если заведение позиционирует себя как "pet-friendly", агрессивные животные — это перебор. Меню было на чешском и английском, что удобно. Понравилось, что персонал дал достаточно времени, чтобы спокойно с ним ознакомиться, никто не торопил. Заказ у нас был довольно стандартный, но вкус превзошёл ожидания — особенно понравился стейк, он был действительно отличный, и по адекватной цене. Из минусов — только три вида пива на разлив. Зато обслуживание было приятным, вежливым и ненавязчивым. Итог: кухня и сервис — на хорошем уровне, но терраса с курением и небезопасной собакой — серьёзный минус. Не уверены, что захотим вернуться, но попробовать стейк...
