Pizzeria Azzurri — Restaurant in Prague

Pizzeria Azzurri claims to make the real Napolitani pizza, serving at Vršovice near the train station, but delivering through Foodora and similar services. And so I had their pizza delivered for a late lunch (~ 3pm).

I absolutely love authentic Neapolitan pizza. Not only that, I learned to make it in home conditions (not as authentic, but close), so I do understand the making process quite well. And the only thing I can say is - hell yes, this is the real deal!

The delivery time was super short, around 15 minutes, which signals the pizza was cooked super quickly in a traditional oven on high temperatures. The pizza came very hot, the ingredients were a high quality, the dough crispy and it smelled great. And what's more, all that for a great price (around 8 EUR on promo), especially compared to their direct competitors here in Prague.

Sadly, there is a huge BUT - whoever prepared the pizza decided to save up on ingredients and almost half of my pizza was basically a cheaper margarita. The salami is only on half of the pizza and there were only 3 (in words: three) leaves of basil. Some people here uploaded how a Diavola can look like and this is definitely not the same, which is super disappointing.

Why, just why? :(

UPDATE AFTER THE OWNER'S RESPONSE: Adding an extra star for a quick, professional and kind explanation that actually makes sense. Despite that, it's clear that there IS less ingredients that can be seen on other customers' photos. I'll give it another try in person and see if...

We ordered Margherita and Quattro Formaggi pizzas through the Bolt app. The pizzeria prepared our order really fast and handed it to the courier right away. We were impressed by how delicious the pizza was! Super thin crust and juicy toppings — absolutely amazing! Highly recommended!

The food was just out of this world honestly. Tried 3 different pizzas and all were incredibly delicious (especially Quattro Formaggi Special which is with honey) . Also tried a Ciabatta Mortadella e Stracchino which was as good as pizza, if not better. Will be coming...
