We recently visited this restaurant and ordered the Quattro Formaggi pizza . It turned out to be a real highlight of our evening – the cheese combination was rich, flavorful, and perfectly melted across a light, crispy crust. If you’re a fan of cheese-based pizzas, this is definitely worth trying.
That being said, we did feel that the prices were on the higher side. The food quality certainly helps justify the cost, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re expecting a more casual pricing level.
The atmosphere was very cozy and welcoming. The interior is spacious, with enough room between tables so you don’t feel cramped or overhear every word from neighboring guests. It works well both for couples looking for a relaxed dinner and for families with children who need a bit more space.
Another big plus is the wine selection, which looked quite extensive. However, when we asked, the waiter mentioned that only dry wines were available. This might be a downside for those who prefer semi-sweet or sweet options, and for us it was a bit of a disappointment. Still, for dry wine lovers, the variety seemed impressive.
As for the service, the staff was attentive and polite. While not at a “fine dining perfection” level, everything was smooth, timely, and pleasant enough to make us feel comfortable throughout the evening.
Although this place mainly presents itself as an Italian restaurant, I found myself curious about their steak dishes, which I noticed on the menu. It’s not something you usually expect from a classic Italian spot, and it makes me want to come back to try them, even if the prices are a bit steep.
Overall, we left with a positive impression: delicious food, cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and an experience that feels worth revisiting despite the somewhat high prices. I can easily see myself returning here...
Read moreWent there for a dinner on Wednesday with my wife.
We were looking on Maps for an Italian place with good food and decent prices and this place checked all the boxes.
We got there and most of the customers were sitting on the terrace, so we wanted a table for 2 there, too. The host checked outside and quickly found a table. Whilst we were making our way, she gave the table a quick wipe and brought us the menus.
I went for the Karlin pizza, whereas my wife went for pepperoncino one. For drinks, she got an Aperol Spritz and I got a cider.
The first to come were the drinks, and then the pizzas, all within 15 minutes.
The pizzas were 42cm in diameter and both of them had light and crunchy crust, which was very good. The toppings were also very tasty and not too oily. I was very pleasantly surprised about my Karlin pizza as I had never had egg on pizza before, but it didn't feel out of place at all.
Even if we were directly facing the street, we could easily talk at a low volume and hear each other.
A very nice and relaxing dinner...
Read moreI recently visited Karlin Osteria for the first time, initially for lunch with some colleagues. The menu looked promising, but unfortunately, the flavors didn’t live up to expectations. Hoping for a better experience, I returned other day with some friends for dinner and ordered a pizza and a risotto and other stuff.
Sadly, the pizza was one of the saddest I’ve had – the dough was far, far away from what you’d expect from a true Italian pizza. It lacked the right texture and flavor, and overall, it didn’t come close to the real deal. The risotto, however, was better and a little more satisfying, though still not extraordinary.
On a positive note, the ambiance of the place is lovely – it has a charming atmosphere, and the service was quick and friendly. It’s clear the restaurant has great potential, but the food really needs some work to match the overall experience. It’s a bit disappointing, because with a bit of improvement, Karlin Osteria could...
